31 Day Challenge: Day 11 - Red and Black Polka Dots

Thrice is nice, yes? Well I hope so! I am back for the third time today with another nail art look for the 31 Day Challenge! The prompt for this mani is polka dots. Sounds easy enough. Except I will tell you a little secret - even after all these years I still suck at polka dots! Give me a brush any day over a dotting tool. But, I did enjoy doing this mani!

I used the gorgeous Alter Ego Well Read (review coming soon) with simple black dots. I love red and black together!

Thanks for reading and happy polishing!

31 Day Challenge: Day 7 - Black and White Dotted Chevrons

Happy Friday! I finally have my look for Day 7 in the 31 Day Challenge! I am hoping to play catch-up this weekend so I can get back on schedule! For today's black and white look I went with a bold chevron design!

31 Day Challenge: Day 6 - Violet Stripes and Dots

Hello! I've fallen behind on the 31 Day Challenge - but better late than never, right? So I am trying to play catch-up and have Day 6 to show you tonight! I took inspiration for this mani from Sheila at Pointless Cafe and I love how it turned out!

31 Day Challenge: Day 2 - Orange Moroccan Half Moons

Happy Friday, everyone! Today felt more like a Monday than a Friday, which makes me even more thankful for the 3-day weekend. Today's nail art isn't one that I am very happy with. I don't know what was up, but I attempted 4 or 5 different looks for today's prompt and I just couldn't create anything I was happy with. I'm not in love with this one, but it's growing on me!

The Digit-al Dozen Does New and Improved: Day 1 - Dotted Heart

Hello and welcome to a brand new Digit-al Dozen Week! The theme this month is "new and improved" - so many possibilities with this theme! New techniques we've never tried before, improving on things we may not be the best at or even re-creating old manis that we want to improve! Today I chose to try a type of nail art I've never done before. I've seen "dotted image" nail art before but when I saw this mani from fellow Digit-al Dozen-er Lindsey from Wondrously Polished I knew I wanted to attempt some this week.

As with most things I decide to attempt, it was SO much harder than I anticipated! I expected it to be hard, but sheesh! LOL! This was the final result after removing it and re-doing it about 12 times. Let's see how I did!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Re-Creations: Day 4 - Curved Lines and Dots

Hello, lovelies! It's Day 4 of Digit-al Dozen Re-Creations Week and I have a super fun mani to share with you today! The original version of the mani I have for you today was done by the lovely Mandy from Lady Maid Nails.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Re-Creations: Day 1 - Floral Lace Half Moons

Today starts another Digit-al Dozen Week and I'm super excited about this one! This month is the 3rd anniversary of the Digit-al Dozen, so to celebrate we are re-creating Digit-al Dozen manis from the past. It's been so overwhelming to try to decide on only 5 manis to do with so much talent and so many gorgeous nail art looks to choose from! Today I decided to re-create a manicure that I have wanted to try since I first saw it posted. This one is Floral Lace Half Moons from Jacki at Adventures in Acetone.

13 Days of January Nail Art Challenge - Recreate One of Your Old Manis

Good evening! Yesterday's prompt for the 13 Days of January Nail Art Challenge was to recreate one of our old manis. I was a bit under the weather yesterday so I'm posting a day late.

I decided to recreate my most-viewed (and most pinned on Pinterest) manicure that I created about 2 1/2 years ago. It positively makes me cringe when I look at it because I see every flaw in it. But I am so glad I chose to recreate it because it has shown me just how far I've come.

Post continued after the jump!

31 Day Challenge Day Eleven - Polka Dots!

Hello everyone! I have a LOT of photos for you tonight and I am not feeling 100% so I am pretty much going to just picture spam you for Polka Dot Day! Considering I used GOSH Holographic as my base, I don't think you will mind. ;) Dots were done with Color Club Revvvolution.

I took my inspiration from this awesome dotticure from Pointless Cafe.

31 Day Challenge Day Nine - Rainbow Nails!

Happy Saturday! Welcome to Day 9 of the 31 Day Challenge - Rainbow Nails. I think today's post fits the word "happy" perfectly!

I decided to do a rainbow of dots. I started out with a base of Milani White on the Spot, then took my dotting tool and used (from top to bottom) Barry M Indigo, Zoya Mira, Revlon Sassy, Zoya Arizona and Zoya Shelby. Pretty simple (and definitely not perfect) but fun.

31 Day Challenge Day Seven - Black & White

Hello lovelies! The 31 Day Challenge resumes with black and white nails! I am really excited about the "nail art" I have to show you today.

Black and White Manicure

For this mani I started out applying my black and white in the checkerboard pattern (I have done this design before - you can see it here). After that dried I decided I wanted to jazz it up a little bit so I added dots in Orly Decoded and Milani Rapid Cherry using dotting tools.

What do you think of this mani? It's not perfect, but I really like it!

Feeling Dotty!

It's time for another group collaboration themed mani! This time we chose to do "dotticures" - a mani with polka dots! I am not the best with dotting tools but I do enjoy them. (Make sure to visit all of the other bloggers at the bottom of this post to see their awesome dotticures!)

I used Zoya Petra as my base (I LOVE Petra) and Milani White on the Spot for my dots. I only did the dots on my "tips" (if my nails were longer I would have been happier with it) and then I added a small piece of light pink metallic striping tape to tie it all together. I didn't wait long enough to add my top coat and it smeared some of my dots, as well as dragging over Petra on my middle and ring fingers. Grrrr.

I hope you enjoyed this mani, as well as all of the others!

(If anyone wants to add on to this collaboration, please email me or PM me on Facebook for the link to insert into your post. Anyone adding on and not linking back will be removed. Thanks!!)
