Bright and Fun Spring Mani with Sponging and Stamping! ♥

Happy Thursday! Only one more day until the weekend! I have a super bright and fun mani to show you today!

I was in the mood for neons last night - and this is pretty much completely opposite from what I had in mind originally. LOL But I really like it! I used a white creme base (Milani White on the Spot - will list all colors in this mani at the end of the post) and then I put drops of colors on a stamping plate. Once I had all of the colors on the stamping plate (a large enough area to cover a nail) I pressed a makeup sponge on top and then placed that directly on my nail. I did this process twice on each nail to achieve this look. After that was dry I added the stamping using plates from the first Bundle Monster set and topped it off with one coat of Poshe.

After finishing this mani it reminded me of some that I have seen over at The Crumpet. Debbie calls them "Splodgeramas" - while I did mine differently, the outcome is very similar. You can see her tutorial here

And here is a look at the base before I added the stamping...

Spring Mani - Pre-Stamping

What do you think of this mani? I wish the stamping was better but I really like it anyway!

The colors I used for the base of this mani are:
China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise
Sinful Colors Dream On
Urban Outfitters Bandeau

And the stamping was done with Color Club Wild at Heart and Milani White on the Spot.

Thanks for reading and happy polishing! ♥

Color Club: Kismet from the Halo Hues Collection ♥

Happy Friday everyone! I was hit by a migraine today so this will be a short post. Feeling better now but not 100%.

I received a lovely surprise from my friend Marnie last night - my very first Halo Hue! The formula is great (2 coats with no application problems) and it is probably THE MOST holo polish out of all of the holos I own (which is quite a few). Kismet is a light gold/green shade and I actually had a hard time getting a photo of it without the holo effect showing - and I was in a room with indirect sunlight and no lamps or overhead lighting on at the time. (Look in the caption of each photo for lighting condition.)

Thanks so much, Marnie! I love it! ♥

31 Day Challenge Day 20 - Water Marble

We are up to Day 20 - Water Marble. This is the day I was dreading the most out of all 31 days. I have attempted water marbling several times over the past year and a half and have yet to do a successful one. For this reason today seemed like a very daunting task. I spent over 2 hours on this manicure and am STILL not happy with it. Que sera, sera, right?

I do LOVE the color combination that I used. I was having issues with marbling (as usual) and my friend Sheila suggested I use Nubar Reclaim and clear over a solid base color (you can see her marble here) because she found it easier than other combinations. I did find this easier - but still not easy. LOL

I used Nails Inc. Chelsea as my base on all fingers except my ring finger where I used Color Club Wild At Heart. The marble was done with Nubar Reclaim and Color Club Topcoat.

31 Day Challenge Day Eleven - Polka Dots!

Hello everyone! I have a LOT of photos for you tonight and I am not feeling 100% so I am pretty much going to just picture spam you for Polka Dot Day! Considering I used GOSH Holographic as my base, I don't think you will mind. ;) Dots were done with Color Club Revvvolution.

I took my inspiration from this awesome dotticure from Pointless Cafe.

31 Day Challenge Day Six - VIOLET with Color Club Fashion Addict

Hello and Happy Hump Day! For Day 6 of the challenge we have Violet. I love purple so this is right up my alley.

I have had Color Club Fashion Addict for a while and haven't used it for some reason. Apparently I was crazy because this is GORGEOUS. The holo effect is much stronger than I expected it to be and the formula was very easy to work with. This is two easy coats.

One more share of a comparison post today! My friend Sheila at Pointless Cafe did a comparison of several silver holographic polishes and it is very informative! Check it out here!

Catherine Arley 803 - Swatches, Review and Stamping!

It's late so I will try to keep this short and sweet! I had been wanting Catherine Arley 803 for its gorgeous green holo-ness (yes, I just made up that word, pretty awesome if I do say so myself LOL) and a very sweet friend just happened to have 2 of them and offered to send me one. How amazing is that?! This polish is discontinued and very hard to come by so this is an amazingly sweet gift. Thank you! ♥ ♥ ♥

The formula was amazing, this is 3 thin coats. I decided to add a little stamping to it and used Color Club Wild at Heart with Bundle Monster BM21. All photos taken outside in direct sunlight.

It was hard to get pictures of the stamping because of all the holo! LOL I hope you enjoyed this post!
