Nothing to Disclose
Long time, no blog! It's been forever since I have done nail art, and even longer since I did freehand nail art. I miss it, but life has just been so busy lately I haven't had much time. I wouldn't say this is a "come back," but I am going to try to make my nail art more of a priority than I have the last few months. I'm not sure I will be able to post on the blog much, but I do post most of my manis on my Instagram and Facebook page if you'd like to follow me there. :)

Hello! This month's Indie Spotlight brand is one of my personal favorite brands - Paint Box Polish! This also happens to be my first Christmas nail art of the season. 31 Day Challenge: Day 27 - Haunted House for Halloween!
Happy Halloween all of you ghosts and goblins! I've got a mani to show you today that I have ben working on for several days. I've been so busy I didn't have much time to work on it, and every time I would try to work on it I would get interrupted. I finally finished it last night! I know I have dragged the 31 Day Challenge out way longer than I should have, but I am determined to finish, even if I am way late!

NOTD: Paint Box Polish - Girl With the Most Cake (Custom) and an Update!
Hello, everyone! Long time no talk! I wanted to pop in and give you guys an update to let you know why I've been so absent lately - and sporadic before I was completely gone for a few weeks. I also have a gorgeous polish to share with you!
There are a few reasons I haven't been around lately. One, I've been getting healthy! I haven't really shared much about this here because it's not the place for it, but I have recently lost a little over 85 pounds and am still going! If you're interested in my health journey, I will have a new project pertaining to it very soon!
Another reason my posting has dwindled down lately is due to some health issues (unrelated to the weight loss). I have been having periods where my hands get very sore and swollen for a while. I haven't been given an official diagnosis yet, but I am fairly certain of what is causing it. When I have a flare up it's nearly impossible to do my nails, and almost impossible to type up a blog post.
In addition to all of that I have some other things coming up that will be taking up more of my time. I am hoping to start posting again more regularly, though I probably won't be back to posting every day/every other day. More likely a couple times per week. But I will just have to see how things play out! I'm looking forward to getting back to nail art! Now, let's get to the nail of the day!
------------------------------------
And you know I had to add a matte topcoat...
Thank you to all of you who have stuck around after all this time!
Thanks for reading and happy polishing!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Gradient +: Pink and Brown Gradient Plus Whimsical Reciprocal Stamping
Happy Tuesday, everyone! For Day 2 of Digit-al Dozen week I am still working on my stamping skills! I do my mom's nails every week (usually) and she loves when I stamp on her, so I have really been trying to get better at it. I love reciprocal gradients so I decided to create one today with a stamping image and used two of the recently released Caio, Gelato! polishes from Paint Box Polish. (If you missed my review on those, you can check it out here.)

Paint Box Polish: Caio, Gelato! Collection - Swatches and Review
Hello! Who is ready for a beautiful Spring collection from Paint Box Polish? I am behind on showing you this collection so you may have already seen it from others, this whole being sick thing really is making me behind on everything!
This collection was inspired by a photo of gelato from a friend who was at an Italian Gelateria. Pam already had an inkling of what she wanted this collection to be, but when she saw that, she knew that was great inspiration for a Spring collection!
In addition to the 8 lovely polishes, she is also releasing an Amaretto Tiramisu cuticle oil. That sounds so yummy!! Unfortunately, because of my sensitivity to scents, I passed on the cuticle oil. The description says it has hints of "Amaretto, espresso, cocoa, mascarpone and Madeira." Sounds good to me!
One last thing before we jump into swatches, don't forget to use code ADDICTED for 15% off your order! This never expires and is valid for all items, even on the new collection!

Hello and welcome to the weekend! I have a fun-filled weekend of cleaning ahead of me *insert sarcasm* and I'm not sure I will have time to do a nail art post this weekend (though I hope I can!), so I wanted to alt least post something pretty to leave you with for the weekend! This is a custom Paint Box Polish that my friend Kim from The Ides of Polish had Pam make for her. I am collecting a few things for Kim and since I'm holding it for her she said I could wear it if I wanted. You know I had to try it! This is Paint Box Polish Fight the Fairies!

Guest Post: Michaela from The Mani Café
Hi everyone! I'm sorry I've been so absent lately. I've been out of town, as you may already know, and then when I got home I was covered up in work and had a lovely visit from a friend on my birthday. To top it all off, while I was out of town, my laptop faceplanted on the pavement in a random parking lot, so it's basically out of commission permanently. So, for now, I'm at the mercy of friends and family for computer access and photo editing programs are totally out of reach. So for now, my blogging will be sporadic, but I am itching to get back to it so I'll be back as soon as possible. In the meantime, I would love to keep in touch with you on Instagram so give me a follow over there if you don't already! Now that you know why I've been MIA, I have a fantastic guest post to share with you today from the lovely Michaela over at The Mani Café!
Hi everyone! I'm Michaela from The Mani Café and I'm excited to be guest posting for Ashley today! She's an awesome friend and blogger! Hope you'll enjoy my post!
I decided to do some simple nail art and try out the nail vinyls I got from the Pshiiit Boutique a little while ago. I love the simple triangles! They are so quick and easy to use and I love a good geometric mani!
For this design, I started out with one coat of A England Excalibur. This is a really nice one-coat silver foil. The formula, like all A Englands in my experience, was fantastic.
I then used the triangular vinyls and one coat of Paint Box Polish Polar Bear Club. Polar Bear Club was part of the Christmas in July box put together by Ellagee and is therefore a box exclusive polish.
It is described as a 'squishy blue packed with blue, purple and fuchsia micro glitters and holographic pigment'. The formula is fantastic. Bear in mind this is just one coat over a light base colour. It is more intense and squishy when worn alone. The shade of blue and the sparkles are just so pretty! I finished things off with a coat of topcoat.
I really enjoyed this simple mani and I'm totally in love with this Paint Box Polish! What do you think of it?
There are still a few Christmas in July boxes available here if you want to snag this beautiful Paint Box Polish!
A England polishes can be purchased from A England (UK shipping only) and Various retailers (see list here).
Thank you to Ashley for having me today! I hope that you enjoyed my post! If you did, feel free to come see more at The Mani Café or on my Facebook or Instagram!

Pam, the super sweet lady behind Paint Box Polish, is a huge Harry Potter fan (and has done other Harry Potter themed collections in the past) and decided to do a collection inspired by The Knight Bus scene in the third book/movie, Prisoners of Azkaban. It's one of my favorite stories out of the entire series so I was super excited to see what she came up with!
Stay tuned until the end of my post for a 15% off discount code!

Paint Box Polish In the Groove and Two Right Feet from The Summer Heat Collection ♥
Press Sample
Good morning! How about kicking off a new week with swatches from a brand new collection? Paint Box Polish is launching a brand new collection called Summer Heat on Wednesday, June 26th and I have two of them to show you now!
I also have a coupon code for my readers so stay tuned until the end for that!
The Summer Heat Collection is inspired by the bright neon colors that Pam, the creator of Paint Box Polish, sees in her Zumba classes. I love neons and these are all great!
These polishes are made up of black circle glitters, black square glitters and iridescent micro-flakes in a colored jelly/crelly base. I was so surprised by the iridescent micro-flakes! I love the micro-flakes! The formula on both of these polishes was fantastic! I didn't have an issue getting the large circle glitters out and onto my nail at all. Any bubbles in the photos are from my topcoat, not the polish.
Photos and review after the jump!
