KBShimmer 24 Carrot Bold ♥

Nothing to Disclose

Hello again! I am back with a neon for this last "official weekend" of summer!

KBShimmer 24 Carrot Bold is an in-your-face orange neon with subtle flakies and a matte finish. I love this one!  The formula was perfect and it was opaque in two coats. All photos are without top coat.

piCture pOlish Cosmos ♥

Nothing to Disclose

Happy Saturday! I have a super gorgeous polish for you today! I'm sure you have all probably seen it before but it's so pretty it's worthy of seeing over and over again!

piCture pOlish Cosmos is a deep blue jelly polish packed with holographic micro-flakes. I know piCture pOlish has been doing these types of polishes for a while but this is the first one I have tried and, needless to say, I NEED MOAR! LOL The depth and sparkle in this polish is impossible to capture in pictures. You really do have to see it to  appreciate it. Even though this is a jelly )to let the flakies shine), I only needed two coats for opacity. I'm showing to coats with one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

Darling Diva Polish Small Batch #1 (SB1) ♥

Press Sample

Happy Thursday!  I have a super pretty limited small batch polish to show you today!
Darling Diva Polish created a super beauty and I'm so excited to show you! This polish will be Darling Diva's first Small Batch polish and will be named SB1. This batch will be limited to only 20 bottles so if you want it you'd better hurry!

SB1 is a subtle holographic polish in a medium green-leaning blue shade. I don't think it has enough green to be called teal but it isn't a "straight blue" either, if that makes sense. This is my favorite type of holo. It is slightly linear but more of a holographic sparkle and the polish appears to be lit from within while still showing off the base color.

Textured Nail Art Series - Second Installment ♥

Press Sample

Who's ready for more nail art using the Kiko Sugar Mat polishes? I am!

In case you missed my first post in this series (which I will link at the bottom), Kiko Sugar Mats are coming soon to Ninja Polish! Sheila from Pointless Cafe swatched all of them for you and I will be doing nail art to coordinate with each swatch post that she did (possibly more than one nail art post, depending on the colors in the swatch post). Today I am using 2 polishes from Part 1 of her 4 part series, which you can find here, #631 and #632. The Sugar Mat Collection is made up of 16 polishes - 8 non-shimmers and 8 shimmers. Both of these are the non-shimmers. Both had great formulas and were very easy to work with.

Crayon Waterfall?

Nothing to Disclose

Hello lovely readers! Who else is glad that Monday is over? I have some nail art for you tonight that I did last night but I wasn't sure if I loved it. I was attempting Nailasaurus' Waterfall Manicure (tutorial can be found here)   but my  striping brush is getting pretty old and frayed so my lines turned out too wide. Anyway, I used The Nail Junkie's neon jellies and they worked really well. When I was done they kind of reminded me of crayons which I thought would be great for "back-to-school season."

So, what say you?  I quite like the design and will be attempting it again when I get some new brushes!

Thanks for reading and happy polishing! ♥

Daphine Polish Goddess of the Two Lands Collection - Swatches and Review ♥

Press Sample

Happy Saturday! I am kicking off the weekend with a brand new collection from a relatively new indie brand, Daphine Polish. She launched her fall collection, The Goddess of the Two Lands Collection, yesterday (Friday, August 23rd) and I will be showing you all 6 polishes today!

This is a beautiful collection and perfect for autumn! (I seem to be saying that a lot lately, I am so ready for summer to be over!) Anyway, this collection is inspired by goddesses (which you probably already figured out by the collection name) and is full of very rich and shimmery colors. They all had very nice formulas. I had no issues applying these and I only needed 2 coats for full opacity on all 6. These are not "top coat hungry," but I do suggest that you use a top coat for them as the glitter in them makes them slightly bumpy. I used one coat of Poshe in all of the photos unless otherwise noted in the caption.

Make sure to read until the end to find out about a sale going on from Daphine Polish right now!

Textured Nail Art Series Using The Kiko Sugar Mat Collection ♥

Press Sample

Hello lovelies! I am very excited about the post I have for you today, as well as the series it kicks off! You may have seen on Pointless Cafe's blog last week that the complete Kiko Sugar Mat Collection is coming soon to Ninja Polish and to go along with her amazing swatches I am going to do be doing some fun nail art using the Sugar Mats!

I will be doing nail art to coordinate with each swatch post that Sheila did (possibly more than one nail art post, depending on the colors in the swatch post). Today I am using 2 polishes from Part 1 of her 4 part series, which you can find here, #633 and #634. The Sugar Mat Collection is made up of 16 polishes - 8 non-shimmers and 8 shimmers. Both of these are the non-shimmers. Both had great formulas and were very easy to work with.

Kiko Sugar Mat 633 and 634 Skittlette

How fun is this mani?! It's honestly one of my favorite manis that I've done in a while. And it was so easy to create!

Stay tuned for more pictures and info after the jump!

Zoya Satin Collection - Swatches and Review ♥

Press Sample

I showed you the Zoya Cashmere Collection a few days ago (if you missed that post you can find it here)  and tonight I have the shimmery half of Zoya's fall collections - the Satins.

The Satin Collection consists of 5 metallic shimmer polishes and one glitter topper. The formula on all of them was great and I had absolutely no issues. I used 2 coats of all the metallic shimmers with no top coat. I only needed one coat of Maria Luisa (the glitter topper) and topped it off with one coat of Poshe. All photos taken under artificial lighting unless noted otherwise in the caption.

Darling Diva Polish The Hot Chik - Swatches and Review ♥

Press Sample

Happy Thursday!  I have a super fun and bright glitter to show you today! Darling Diva Polish The Hot Chik is a neon pink explosion!

The Hot Chik is a mix of neon pink glitters in various shapes and sizes and iridescent glitters in a slightly tinted base.  I tried this over 7 or 8 different colors on a piece of paper and it looked amazing over all of them! I had a really hard time narrowing it down for the post.

Nire's Desire - By Any Other Name and Gunpowder and Lead

Press Sample

Happy Hump Day!  I am back with the last 2 Nire's Desire polishes to show you! Tonight I have By Any Other Name and Gunpowder and Lead. (If you missed my post on American Muscle and Dirty Girl you can find it here.)

All Nire's Desire polishes are 3 Free and Cruelty Free. I am very impressed with the formula on these polishes. They went on smoothly and I had absolutely no issues to report. By Any Other Name is sheer on its own so I layered that one. No top coat in any of the photos.

Continued after the jump!

By Any Other Name - this one is described as, "A rosy pink shimmer perfect for every working girl." This one was pretty sheer so I layered one coat over a neutral caramel creme   (Zoya Flynn).  As the description implies, this one is very work appropriate! No issues to report.

Gunpowder and Lead - this one is my favorite out of all 4 Nire's Desire polishes that I have tried so far! This one fits its name perfectly. This one is described as, "a deep gunmetal gray with silver highlights"  - the description is spot on. In addition to loving this polish, I also love the song  of the same name (which is stuck in my head at the moment).  Two coats for the photos.

So what are your favorites out of the ones I have shown you? My favorite is Gunpowder and Lead, followed by American Muscle.

Nire's Desire polishes retail for $8 and  she is currently having a sale where if you buy 3 polishes you can get a 4th for free! Make sure to check out her other beauties in her Etsy Store!

Darling Diva Polish - And A Bag of Chips ♥

Personal Collection

Happy Tuesday! I have quite a treat for you today! Darling Diva Polish had a giveaway on their Facebook page and I was lucky enough to win! I will show what else I won in another post but I just HAD to show you guys this amazing polish right now! And a Bag of Chips is  holographic, multi-chrome and it glows in the dark! All that in one bottle!

Let me tell you right now that this polish is so much better in person than my pictures show. They don't do it justice at all. It is more holographic than my photos show and there is also an intense violet and dark pink shift that my camera would not pick up no matter what I did. I haven't stopped looking at my nails since I put this on, and I freaked myself out last night when I forgot I was wearing glow-in-the-dark polish! LOL!

Zoya Cashmere Collection - Swatches and Review ♥

Press Sample

It's 6 PM as I sit here writing this post and it is still 104 degrees here in Arizona. I would love for Autumn to be on the horizon. Since it is still very far away I am going to try to at least make it feel like Fall by showing you some yummy polishes from the new Fall Collection from Zoya - The Cashmere Collection.

The Cashmere Collection consists of six cremes and they are so rich and perfect for Fall. The are all highly pigmented and shiny on their own. I have used two coats in all of the photos and no top coat.

Zoya PixieDust Collection for Fall 2013 - Swatches and Review ♥

     Press Sample

Good evening! I'm sorry for my lack of posting lately, life gets in the way sometimes! Tonight I have the latest addition to the Zoya PixieDust family!

This is my favorite collection of PixieDusts so far!  The colors are so RICH, that's really the best way I can describe them. These are highly pigmented and very sparkly. The formula and application was perfect on all of them. Some of them were nearly one-coaters but I used two coats in all of my photos. All photos feature one coat of Poshe top coat on the ring finger, all other fingers are without.
