Happy Saturday! I am squeezing this mani in by the skin of my teeth! I didn't know if I would have time to do this nail art but I am so glad I managed it because it is one of my favorite manis ever! This week's theme is "films" and I decided to use one of my all-time favorite movies as inspiration: Gaslight. (For more about this movie please continue reading!)

The Digit-al Dozen Does New and Improved: Day 5 - One Stroke Flower
Hello, everyone! I am incredibly late with my final Digit-al Dozen mani this month, but I figured it was better to be late than not finish! Computer issues and migraines have made blogging especially difficult this week but I missed so many Digit-al Dozen posts the last few months I was determined to finish this one, even if it is late.
I am really glad I decided to do this mani today because I've been wanting to try one stroke flowers for, literally, years. I believe I first saw them right around the time I created my blog, which was 4 years and 3 months ago (time flies!). I didn't think I was able to do any nail art then, especially anything as intricate as flowers. It really shows me how much I've grown and changed since I started blogging!

The Digit-al Dozen Does New and Improved: Day 4 & 40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Things That Fly - Dandelions
Happy Saturday! Today I have a mani combining my 4th Digital Dozen mani of the week with the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas theme this week, which is "things that fly." I have been wanting to make an attempt at dandelion nail art for awhile now and it fit both prompts so I took a stab at it today and I am pretty happy with the results!

The Digit-al Dozen Does New and Improved: Day 3 - Sharpie and Stamping
Hello! I am a day behind (well technically almost two days behind!), but better late than never, right? I am going to try to keep this post short because it is getting late and this day has kicked my butt. For this mani I tried a technique I've never tried before and used a brand new stamping plate!

The Digit-al Dozen Does New and Improved: Day 2 - Needle Drag
Hello, hello! It's Day 2 of Digit-al Dozen New and Improved Week and I have a technique that I have tried (and failed) at many times! I did manage a pretty good toothpick marble a couple of years ago (which you can see here) that I did using a tutorial from Sheila at Pointless Cafe. However, I've tried several times since then with no success. Maybe it was beginner's luck? LOL Anyway, I decided I wanted to try this design from Sveta Sanders - which was completely insane. I tried for over an hour and was ready to throw in the towel until I got some help from Sheila. It took me awhile and lots of tweaking but with her help I was able to get a design I was pretty happy with!

The Digit-al Dozen Does New and Improved: Day 1 - Dotted Heart
Hello and welcome to a brand new Digit-al Dozen Week! The theme this month is "new and improved" - so many possibilities with this theme! New techniques we've never tried before, improving on things we may not be the best at or even re-creating old manis that we want to improve! Today I chose to try a type of nail art I've never done before. I've seen "dotted image" nail art before but when I saw this mani from fellow Digit-al Dozen-er Lindsey from Wondrously Polished I knew I wanted to attempt some this week.
As with most things I decide to attempt, it was SO much harder than I anticipated! I expected it to be hard, but sheesh! LOL! This was the final result after removing it and re-doing it about 12 times. Let's see how I did!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Pale Blue Base
Hello! I hope you are all having a great 2016 so far! Mine is going pretty well. I don't talk much about my personal life on here but I started focusing on losing weight and getting healthy at the beginning of December and have lost a total of 32.4 pounds so far! I am pretty excited about my new journey. It's not easy but it will be so worth it.
Anyway, enough about me. You're here for nail art! This week's theme in the 40 Great Nail Art Idea Challenge was to use a pale blue base and my pattern prompt was plaid/tweed/hounsdtooth. I love houndstooth but I have done it several times, and it has been a very long time since I worked on freehand lines, so I decided to go with plaid!
