Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review

Press Sample

Good evening! I have something different to share with you tonight! Vegan Cuts is a company that focuses on all things vegan - food, clothing, shoes, accessories and beauty items. They have a shop with a multitude of all of these types of items and they also offer two different subscriptions boxes - a snack box and a beauty box! I am going to show you one of the beauty boxes tonight.

Full review after the jump!

The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly box containing 4-7  Cruelty-Free and Vegan beauty products and skin care items (although this month's box contained more than 7 items). This is such a great way to try new products, especially since both Vegan and Cruelty-Free items are still pretty pricey and hard-to-find in most places! So let's see what I got!

----------------------------------------

This is everything that was in my box, other than the information card (which is pictured below).

 Soapbox Black Soap

I am starting off with one of my favorite items from this box, and yes, it's soap! When I first opened it and smelled it I was unsure. The smell is not overpowering but it's a very distinct smell. It's sort of minty and is slightly masculine but it is a clean smell and did not bother  me. (I am very sensitive to smells and they often trigger headaches and/or nausea.)

A little bit went a long way on my poofy-thing (as they called it haha) and there is definitely enough in this trial size for at least 3 uses. But the best thing about this soap was how moisturized my skin felt when I got out of the shower! My skin is very dry and living in the desert only makes that worse. I have tried tons of moisturizing body washes but this made my skin feel better than any of them. Two polished thumbs up for this!

LA Fresh Oil-Free Face Cleanser Wipes

I use a mineral powder foundation every day and I used these at night to remove my makeup and they did a great job. The smell is not overpowering and my skin did look clean after using them. They are a decent size so you don't feel like you're going to "run out" before your face is clean. There is no need to rinse after use but my skin did feel like I needed to rinse. That could just be my personal body chemistry though.

Jersey Short Sun Vegan Lip Conditioner

Going back to living in the desert and being perpetually dry, I am always on the lookout for moisturizing lip products. This one is very moisturizing, smooth, creamy and not sticky! I hate sticky lip products so that's a big plus for me. The scent of this one is "Wintermint" and it reminds me of Spearmint gum or toothpaste. Not too overpowering but you can definitely smell it while you're wearing it.

 Lavishy Faux Leather Pouch

How cute is the little guy on the front of this pouch?! This faux leather is non-toxic and biodegradable and SO SOFT! This is very well made and I'm impressed. I love that it has the key ring so if you just want to throw a few things in the pouch and head out you don't have to carry around a big purse or bag if you need to be hands-free.

I looked the brand up in  the shop on Vegan Cuts' website and they have cosmetic pouches, wallets, e-reader cases and more in all sorts of fun designs. I highly recommend checking them out!

 Now for the makeup!

Everyday Minerals Finishing Powder and Matte Blush

I have to apologize in advance for my photos of the makeup. I love makeup and use it daily but I am not a makeup blogger for a reason. LOL!  These were both excellent quality and items I would purchase to use every day!

I used the finishing powder over my normal mineral foundation and it did make it look smoother than normal. It was translucent and didn't change the color at all. I am super pale so if it didn't show up on me that's a pretty good test! It was very smooth and I had no problems applying it. The photo below shows it poured out onto the back of my hand so you can see the texture.

The matte blush in this box is the shade All Smiles which is a coral/peach shade. This is not a shade I typically buy for my blush but I actually quite liked it! It is highly pigmented so a little goes a long way and it lasted over 12 hours! It was much more vibrant in person than in the photo below.

Ferro Cosmetics Eye Candy

Eye Candy is "15-Hour Mineral Eyeshadow" and this one is in the shade Champagne. I didn't get to try out the wear time on this one because I was having some eye issues but I tested it on my hand and it is a beautiful color, highly pigmented and very smooth and easy to apply. This would make a great highlighter for cheeks too, I think!

Color Club Harlem Nights 4-Pack Minis

Four mini Color Club nail polishes! Each one is .25 oz. so each one is half the size of a regular Color Club. Much larger than most mini polishes!

Well there you have it! I was quite impressed with the products and will definitely be grabbing full sizes of some of them!

I really think this is a great way to get to try Cruelty-Free and Vegan products. Each box is $19.95 per month with free shipping within the US. They do offer worldwide shipping as well so make sure to check it out if you aren't in the US! Check out all of Vegan Cuts' links below to learn more and sign up!

Thanks for reading and happy polishing! I hope you all have a great weekend! ♥
