Darling Diva Polish Muscle Car Diva Collection - Swatches and Review (Part 2 of 4)

Press Sample

Good evening everyone! I am sorry for my absence the last few days but I am back with Part 2 of Darling Diva Polish's Muscle Car Diva Collection!

Post continued after the jump!

The polishes in this collection are all dense enough to wear on their own in 2-3 coats but since there were already some fab swatches showing them on their own I thought I'd show them over black. They are super hot and gorgeous either way. I will show my favorites on their own in my last post on this collection! All had a fabulous formula and spread on the nail evenly without any issues.

These are SO SPARKLY in person and photos just do not do them justice. The holographic sparkle in each one is really stunning. I used one coat of each over a plain black creme and topped it with one coat of Seche Vite. All photos taken in natural lighting.

Since I love muscle cars I thought it would be fun to show the "cars behind the names" - in coordinating colors, of course.

*Please forgive the drastic change in nail length from the previous post. I suffered a bad break in the middle of swatching.*

Little Red Corvette

Little Red Corvette was released last year (I believe)  and is the polish that inspired the collection! It was such a huge hit that Carrie couldn't resist creating a whole collection around her favorite cars. It's red, sparkly, holographic yumminess! This one was so sparkly that it made my camera go crazy so I only have one sunlight pic to show you, the first three are all in the shade. I have always loved Corvettes so I was happy to have this one!

Cobra

The Cobra is a car that was dreamt up by American auto designer Carroll Shelby (who was also the namesake of the Mustang Shelby which we will see next). He contacted British car maker AC Cars who was using a cutting edge engine in their two seater roadsters. They worked out a deal and Shelby took the concept to Chevrolet who turned him down because they didn't want to compete with their already popular Corvette. Shelby then went to Ford who was more than happy to compete with the Corvette! (If you would like to read more about this you can find it here.)  I couldn't find a pink Cobra that I was happy with so I went with the very first!

Shelby

This polish is as fun as the car it's named after! The Ford Mustang is an American icon and the Shelby name on it makes it extra special. Shelby features glitter of many colors and looks so awesome layered over black! I couldn't find a rainbow-colored Shelby so I chose a hot 1967 silver and black model. (This is my personal favorite year model of the Mustang.)

Lady Boss 302

The Boss 302 is a souped-up version of the Mustang that features the 302 engine which was cutting edge when it was introduced in the late 1960s. I think the one in this photo is red but it looks pink so I'm pretending it really is pink. ;)

This polish has a darker base than the other polishes in this collection and it shows over the black. My bestie said it reminded her of a cherry cordial!

We are 2/3 of the way through this collection! What are your favorites? My favorite from this post is definitely Little Red Corvette. It is just so amazingly gorgeous.
