Darling Diva Polish Opal Collection - Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Good afternoon! I apologize for my sporadic and infrequent posting lately. Between the holidays and being sick I've not had much blogging time lately. But I am back with a gorgeous collection from Darling Diva Polish to show you today! This is the Opal Collection and it is a collection of gorgeous complex flakies sprinkled with glitter and holographic shimmer!

(To see The Diamond Collection, which was released at the same time, you can visit my post here.)

I am going to tell you right off the bat that my pics do not do these justice. It's taken me a long time to get these posted because I kept trying to get better photos of them, thinking if I changed one little thing maybe my camera would magically capture these better. LOL! They are so much prettier and more sparkly in person!

Post continued after the jump!

Photos were taken outside in indirect sunlight/shade unless otherwise noted in the captions.

Black Ice - this is one of my favorites from this collection. I am showing 2 coats and one coat of top coat in the photos.

Blue Opal -  a perfect icy blue. I am showing 3 coats of this one alone with top coat but I will probably layer it over a similar color when I wear it again because I prefer not to have any visible nail line. This one and one other in the collection are the only ones I recommend layering. (You may remember me using this for my snowflake nail art.)

Opal - this is the only other one I recommend layering besides Blue Opal. This one has all of the flakie goodness in the other shades in a clear base and it looks awesome over any color! I've seen it over black and white and it looks lovely over those (if you missed what it looks like over those you can see pics at Pointless Cafe) but I wanted to try something different so I grabbed one of my favorite oranges (Elevation Polish Sarychev) and wow, I love this combo SO much! This is just one coat over Sarychev.

Rose Opal - a gorgeous violet pink shade that is saturated enough to compliment all skin tones. Two coats and one coat of top coat.

Sea Moss Opal - rich, luxurious green! Two coats and one coat of top coat.

Teal Opal - this one leans to the blue side of teal rather than the green side. Two coats and no top coat.

Violet Opal - a deep, royal purple. Two coats and one coat of top coat.

They are all so beautiful! That holographic microglitter really adds so much depth and sparkle. I think my favorites are Black Opal, Rose Opal, and Opal with Violet Opal and Sea Moss coming in for a close second but they're all so pretty it's hard to choose. (Can you tell? Haha!)

This collection is currently available at the Darling Diva Big Cartel Store. If you need to purchase them from the Etsy Shop she asks that you please send her a message! Make sure to like Darling Diva on Facebook and follow on Instagram to stay up-to-date and see even more swatches!

Thanks for reading and happy polishing! ♥
