Autumn Trees for Thanksgiving

Nothing to Disclose

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans! I have a quick post for you tonight. I did this Autumn nail art about a week ago and wore it for a few days, I really loved it! I still haven't done my Thanksgiving mani, and I'm not sure what it will end up looking like, so I figured I would at least share this with you.

I have a treat for you today! Literary Lacquers recently released her Community Collection which consisted of polishes she created in collaboration with various bloggers and fans. The collection as a whole looks just amazing and I can't wait to grab a few more of them! The one I have to show you today is 84 Charing Cross Road and it was created by Amy (of Literary Lacquers) with the lovely Sheila from Pointless Cafe

Darling Diva Polish Opal Collection - Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Good afternoon! I apologize for my sporadic and infrequent posting lately. Between the holidays and being sick I've not had much blogging time lately. But I am back with a gorgeous collection from Darling Diva Polish to show you today! This is the Opal Collection and it is a collection of gorgeous complex flakies sprinkled with glitter and holographic shimmer!

(To see The Diamond Collection, which was released at the same time, you can visit my post here.)

I am going to tell you right off the bat that my pics do not do these justice. It's taken me a long time to get these posted because I kept trying to get better photos of them, thinking if I changed one little thing maybe my camera would magically capture these better. LOL! They are so much prettier and more sparkly in person!

Dandy Nails Creep and Crawl (LE) - Swatches and Review ♥

Personal Collection

If you follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook  you saw that I received some awesome nail mail last night! Dandy Nails launched a new collection last week and I dove in head first knowing I wouldn't regret it! Sandy's polishes are among some of my very favorites and these are no exception!

Creep and Crawl is a limited edition polish because after creating an issue came up with one of the ingredients. So, unless she finds a new source this color is limited to only 20 bottles (some of which are already sold). My point is, if you want this one, you need to HURRY!

Creep and Crawl is a black jelly polish packed with silver flakies (although on me they look more gold than silver). I love the look of this one and how the flakes sparkle through the black! The formula was wonderful and I used 3 coats for opacity and one coat of topcoat for the photos.

Illamasqua Pink Raindrops ♥

Happy Thursday! I don't know about you but this week is kicking my butt and I am so glad there is only one more day until the weekend!

Illamasqua Pink Raindrops. I'm sure this polish needs no introduction - the original Raindrops is a massively popular polish that was discontinued and has since been re-introduced into Illamasqua's current line.

To start off I want to say that I really do like this polish - it's very pretty and very feminine. However, I do not think it is a pink version of the original Raindrops. The original Raindrops is a grey crelly base with flakies. Pink Raindrops is a shimmery polish packed with flakes and an iridescent shimmer. It is slightly frosty and the base is not a crelly as with the original Raindrops. So, while it is lovely if you are expecting a pink version of Raindrops, you will be disappointed.

Pink Raindrops is a very light pink that often read nude on me, depending on the light. I really do love this one and will wear it often. I only needed two coats for opacity and one coat of Poshe. My camera had a very hard time capturing this polish and my pics are not my best. I took photos in various lighting situations so you could see all of its personalities.

Thanks for reading and happy polishing! ♥

La Femme Galaxia - Swatches and Review

Happy Hump Day everyone!! I have a stunning purple for you tonight!

La Femme Galaxia (from the Perolado Collection) is a deep purple jelly (or maybe a crelly?) that is packed with micro-flakes! I would call this a jelly because it has that super shiny and squishy finish that shows off the flakes amazingly well but it covered much better than a typical jelly. I used 2 coats and it was almost completely opaque (as you can see in the photos). I had no problem with application, it went on very easily. I topped it off with one coat of Poshe for the photos.

Purple and Green Flakie Explosion!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I have a gorgeous combo for you tonight! This just so happens to be one of those combos that you can't capture the beauty of in photos. Well, I can't - I'm sure there are people out there who can.

I used Urban Outfitters Bandeau - a gorgeous blurple (blue/purple) - as my base. I put this color on before bed, with a top coat, and woke up with tip wear. Ugh. Needless to say I was disappointed - all I did was sleep. I was going to remove it the next morning when I say Zoya Opal sitting there and thought it would look great over Bandeau. Wowsers, I was right.

Again, this looks so much better in person. Please excuse the tip wear in the photos. I used 1 - 2 coats of Opal and had no issues with application. I did apply a top coat but even without one the flakies were nearly smooth. I love Zoya - they are such a consistently amazing brand.
