31 Day Challenge: Day 27 - Haunted House for Halloween!
Happy Halloween all of you ghosts and goblins! I've got a mani to show you today that I have ben working on for several days. I've been so busy I didn't have much time to work on it, and every time I would try to work on it I would get interrupted. I finally finished it last night! I know I have dragged the 31 Day Challenge out way longer than I should have, but I am determined to finish, even if I am way late!

31 Day Challenge: Day 26 - Halloween Chevrons
Hi everyone! I have another look in the 31 Day Challenge for you today! I know I am finishing a lot later than everyone else but I am doing it as I can and enjoying it, so it's worth it to me! Today's prompt is "inspired by a pattern" so I did some of the oh-so-popular chevrons!

31 Day Challenge: Day 18 - Half Moon Spider Webs
Hello! I have a late post tonight, but I love this look! I am not usually a fan of half moon manis on myself. I love them on other people but they always seem odd on my nails. I wanted to think outside the box for today's look and was feeling in a Halloween mood so I decided to make some half moon spider webs!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Halloween
Hello and Happy Friday! I am on the road as we speak heading to Oklahoma for a week to visit my family. I have some guest posts lined up, as well as a couple scheduled posts from me. I am hoping to squeeze in one more Halloween mani, but it is not looking promising so I'm glad I have this one to share with you today!
This week's prompt for 40 Great Nail Art Ideas is, of course, Halloween! I had a few ideas in mind for today but no time to execute something detailed so I went with a quick but fun favorite - a dry brush mani!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Orange, Purple and Green
Hello! I am late with this week's 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge, but better late than never, right? I had grand plans this weekend that went down the drain due to being sick. But I did this mani on Friday and couldn't wait to share it with you! The color prompt this week was orange, purple and green and my pattern prompt was fluid lines. I just had to break out my Girly Bits neons again for this mani!

Spooky Trees
Hello! Today is the first day of October and I could not wait to post some Halloween nail art! This mani isn't blatantly "Halloween" but it was definitely created in the spooky spirit of the season! The inspiration for this nail art was found in quite an unusual place so keep reading to find out more!

Happy Halloween with Funky Spiderwebs!
Nothing to Disclose
Happy Halloween for those of you who are still celebrating! There are still a few hours left here until the spookiness of the season disappears for another year. Tonight I am going to show you my Halloween manicure, as well as the one I did on my mom. This is the manicure I wore today, and am still wearing. I may wear it tomorrow too, I love it!

Spooky Castle Glow
Nothing to Disclose
Good evening! It's hard to believe we are just a few days away from Halloween! I am going to try to have a new Halloween look every day this week because I love Halloween nail art and in a few days it will be over!
I am using this mani to enter the Jin Soon contest on Instagram, but it also happens to fit in with this month's Lacquer Legion theme #LLAfterDark.

Pond Pumpkins!
Nothing to Disclose
We are in the home stretch of the 31 Day Challenge! Tomorrow is the last day - it's happy and sad all at the same time! But, we can talk about that more tomorrow. Today's prompt is "follow a tutorial." I decided since it was getting close to Halloween I would do my first Halloween mani for the year from a tutorial that I've wanted to try since last Halloween!

Dark Shadows Inspired Mani ♥
Nothing to Disclose
Happy Day-Before-Halloween! I haven't had much time for Halloween Nail Art this year which makes me sad because I love doing spooky manis. So I figured if I only had time left to do a select few I should choose the ones I was really excited about. And I was very excited for this one!
I started watching the original Dark Shadows series (don't even get me started on the movie re-make! LOL) a couple of years ago with my mom (she had watched it as a kid) and I was hooked almost instantly. The story lines are good, the acting is amazing (especially considering they filmed a brand new episode live every day) and I really enjoyed the whole "gothic, spooky" feel of the show.

Daphine Polish Sleepy Hollow Trio ♥
Press Sample
I don't know about you but I am so ready for Halloween! I just love Halloween and all the spooky fun and of course Halloween-themed polishes! I have a spooky collection from Daphine Polish for you today based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
I love the story behind this collection, as told by Joanne, Creator of Daphine Polish:
I spent most of my childhood in Westchester County, in which Sleepy Hollow is located, so the Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a tale we heard growing up as kids. Sleepy Hollow High School's mascot is even the Headless Horsemen! Today Sleepy Hollow boasts an impressively large historical cemetery, and within it sits the cemetery at the Old Dutch Church that is featured in the Legend. Of course they hold lots of events and tours in the autumn, especially around Halloween! My Halloween trio is inspired by characters in Washington Irving's Legend of Sleepy Hollow, though my goal was to make colors that could be worn year-round.

BOO! - Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween to all of you that celebrate!
I have a fun mani for you today - one that took me quite a while to complete but, luckily, I actually ended up really liking. I received some of the large "sequins" from the Born Pretty Store and was really excited to try them out. I will admit that these take a lot of time and, most of all, patience. But I was expecting that going into it. I am not a very patient person - that is probably quite an understatement. For me to take on something like this, I REALLY have to like the look of it. Anyway, this design (not including the ghosts) took me somewhere between an hour to an hour and a half to complete. Not TOO bad. The most frustrating part was trying to get them in just the right spot. I applied them with a pointy metal cuticle pusher (I use this for just about everything EXCEPT pushing my cuticles! LOL) dipped in water. I originally tried a dotting tool but it didn't work as well for me. I used 2 coats of Poshe on top of the sequins and they are perfectly smooth.
I was originally planning on doing the ghosts with the white sequins but I found out the are very translucent and didn't show up over the black. I just ended up painting the ghosts on with Milani White on the Spot, over Nails Inc. Paddington. (The base for my "Boo" fingers is Milani Black Swift.)
I do apologize for the photos, they aren't very good. I had a really hard time photographing these because when you get them in the sun they SHINE. Big time. I ended up taking these in the shade and they are pretty dark and kind of blurry. This mani looks much better in person.
Here are what the sequins look like....
And a few more pics with some props...
I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!
The sequins can be purchased from the Born Pretty Store (click here for a direct link). Make sure to check out the code on my left sidebar for 10% off your order!

Girly Bits Monster Mash - Swatches and Review
Good evening everyone! Here we are only 2 nights away from All Hallow's Eve and I haven't even had the opportunity to do any Halloween nail art attempts. Boo. I am going to try to squeeze in a couple in the next couple of days though! But for tonight let's get in the mood for Halloween with a polish from Girly Bits' Halloween Collection!
Monster Mash is described by its creator, Pam, as "a clear (but very slightly tinted green, for extra creepiness) base packed with green, gold and black hexes, squares and shreds." I LOVE the slightly tinted green base, it really does add something special!
I layered this one over Nails Inc. Paddington (my new favorite grey creme!) and over Nails Inc. Wesminster on my ring finger. This is two easy coats, no problems with application whatsoever. It was not gritty or topcoat-hungry either. One coat of Poshe and everything was perfectly smooth! I love this one and can see it being worn all year, not just on Halloween.
And because I've had this song in my head all day, now you can too. Hehehe
What do you think of this one? I really love it! Pam does such an amazing job with her polishes.
Girly Bits is available on Big Cartel and also available at llarowe.com and Harlow & Co. for $10 to $13 retail for full .5 oz bottles.Don't forget to follow Pam at Girly Bits on Facebook and on her blog for updates and info!

Ulta Vampire Kiss and Howl At The Moon - Swatches and Review
Hello everyone! For the second Monday in a row it has been "a true Monday." LOL So let's relax and look at some pretty polish! I have a different take on "Halloween polish" tonight.
I picked up both of these polishes in a set at Ulta sometime this past February or March, put them in my stash and promptly forgot about them. I do remember that it was $5.95 for both of them, how could I possibly pass that up? I couldn't. LOL I ran across them a couple of weeks ago when I was looking for a base for some of my indies and wondered why in the world haven't I worn these yet? I decided it was past time to blog about them! While the colors are not "Halloween" colors, the names are very Halloween-themed so I am going with it. Hahaha
First up is Vampire Kiss. This one is MUCH prettier in person than it looks in my photos. It is what I would describe as a "raspberry" and is somewhere between a creme and a crelly finish. It was a little on the thin side - I used 3 coats in the photos and you can still see visible nail line (although it was not as apparent in person as it is in the photos). I do suggest making sure each coat is dry before doing the next one to avoid cuticle drag. It is much richer and slightly deeper in person than in my photos. (This is also what I used as my base under Maya Kung Fu Treachery.)

Now we have Howling At The Moon. This is a gorgeous purple-based deep blue. I did not capture any of the purple in the pics but in some lighting it is a true "blurple" color. This one had a better formula than Vampire Kiss but was still a little on the thin side. I only used 2 coats in the photos and no topcoat. Again, you do need to be careful of cuticle drag.
