Vampy Gradient

Nothing to Disclose

After my super bright and fun rainbow mani yesterday I was in the mood for something more autumnal and sexy. It's still in the triple digits where I live but I still love wearing fall colors and at least pretending Fall is coming soon. I absolutely loved how this turned out and I'm going to be sad to take it off! (And yes, I was sad to remove the rainbow mani as well!)

NOTD: NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty and A New Nail Shape

Nothing to Disclose

Good evening! I have a new-to-me brand and a new nail shape to show you tonight! I had been eyeing NCLA polishes for a while but hadn't pulled the trigger yet. This one popped up in a blog sale for a great price and I couldn't pass it up! Trying a new brand and it being a vampy red - yes, please!

Dior Diorific Minuit #995 - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose

Hello lovelies! Today several blogging friends and I decided to get together to show off one of our favorite luxury brands - Dior! I avoided trying Dior for a while but once I caved it was instant love.  They don't always fit into my budget but when they do I jump at the chance to grab another! The formulas are always amazing and I just love their brush.

Today I have Minuit from their Holiday Diorific Collection to show you. I bought this before Christmas but was waiting for the perfect chance to use it - the right nail length, the right event, whatever. Today seemed like the perfect chance! (Too bad I suffered a bad break just hours before applying it so I have super nubs now.)

Dark Shadows Inspired Mani ♥

 Nothing to Disclose

Happy Day-Before-Halloween! I haven't had much time for Halloween Nail Art this year which makes me sad because I love doing spooky manis. So I figured if I only had time left to do a select few I should choose the ones I was really excited about. And I was very excited for this one!

I started watching the original Dark Shadows series (don't even get me started on the movie re-make! LOL) a couple of years ago with my mom (she had watched it as a kid) and I was hooked almost instantly. The story lines are good, the acting is amazing (especially considering they filmed a brand new episode live every day) and I really enjoyed  the whole "gothic, spooky" feel of the show.

Dior Nuit 1947 (970) - Swatches and Review ♥

Nothing to Disclose

Happy Friday! I have a brand new Dior to show you today! Dior Nuit 1947 is from the Rouge Dior Collection for Autumn 2013 which also includes three other nail polishes - Rouge, Trafalgar and Darling. I don't have any of the others - yet.

As much as I have always loved red, and red nail polish, this is my first true vampy red crelly and I am head-over-heels in love! I had a "nail mishap" last night and had to cut my nails very short. I was very sad about that, especially since I had just gotten this polish and couldn't wait to put it on. Well, surprise, I actually love it on my super nubs! (I still wish they weren't quite so short but luckily they have been growing pretty quickly lately.)

Review and more photos (in multiple lighting sources) after the jump!

Glitter Gal - Hot Chilli and Transfusion (Limited Edition) ♥

Personal Collection

Hello! I have the two new limited edition Glitter Gal polishes to show you tonight - Hot Chilli and Transfusion! These are super gorgeous and I am so glad I was able to snag them since they are only available in limited quantities.

The formula on both of these is great! I used 2 coats for both and they were completely opaque. Top coat does affect the holographic properties though. I used Poshe over Transfusion and the holo is barely visible. I tried a much thinner top coat over Hot Chilli and it did dull the holo but it is still visible. I have photos of both with and without topcoat.

Transfusion is a deep, vampy red that leaned purple on me. It is not quite this purple in person but close. It is very rich and vampy - a true stunner.

Hot Chilli is a bright, almost rusty-toned red with linear holographic properties. This one is very rich but also bright enough that it is a great summer color.
