Glitter Gal: Watermelon ♥

Happy Thursday! I have another polish from Glitter Gals' Popping Candy Collection to show you!

I previously showed you Blueberry Soda, which can be found here.

Watermelon is a gorgeous pink/coral shade with a gorgeous shimmer that sometimes shifts to a light green! The formula was a little think but not hard to work with. I used 3 coats with no undies and not top coat.

Ninja Polish: Melted Snowman ♥

Hello everyone! I have a super fun combo to show you tonight!

Ninja Polish Melted Snowman was part of their Holiday 2012 Collection but just because the holidays are over doesn't mean we can't use holiday polishes. Melted Snowman looks good over so many different colors and I will be wearing it year 'round!

I layered 1 thick coat (I got plenty of glitter on the brush with each dip) of Melted Snowman over Sinful Colors Timbleberry (sometimes called Thimbleberry - and purchased before my Cruelty-Free update) and topped it off with one thick coat of Poshe. I was almost smooth but I would recommend a glitter topcoat or an extra coat of your regular topcoat. I absolutely LOVE how this looks over this base color, this was such a fun mani! (Please note that any bubbles seen are in the topcoat, not the polish itself.)

And a quick pic of the base I used. Sinful Colors Timbleberry, a bright pink-based coral with a crelly finish.

Indigo Bananas: Klein Trink Wasser ♥

I have a polish from a new-to-me indie brand to show you today! You may have seen the brand Indigo Bananas popping up on blogs recently - she seems to be hitting the scene with a bang, and I can completely understand why! I have 3 of her polishes to show you in the next few days and the first one is amazing!

Indigo Bananas - Hermes, Klein Trink Wasser, Low-key

Today I have Klein Trink Wasser to show you. Klein (as shortened by the maker) is an extremely vibrant, in-your-face blue and I love it! The formula was very easy to work with. I used 3 coats (as the maker states you will need) and it dries to a satin finish (think Illamasqua's rubber finish) that I quite enjoyed. Add top coat and it deepens the color even more. I really love this one and it is more vibrant than Nails Inc. Baker Street (I have a comparison photo at the end of this post).

This is what the maker had to say about Klein -

Base color: blue, indigo in certain lights (klein blue)
Effects: ---
Finish: creme
Roughness: smooth
# coats: three solo
Top Coat: optional, but recommended
Size: 15ml
Vegan & cruelty free: yes
3-Free (formaldehyde, toluene, DBP free): yes

First up, 3 coats with NO top coat...

And with one coat of Poshe...

And a comparison with Nails Inc. Baker Street (see photo for labels)...

What do you think of this one? I love it and I love the fact that I can wear it satin or shiny! Definitely one of my favorite blues out of my whole collection.

Indigo Bananas can be found on their website here. Also, make sure to "like" their Facebook page to stay up-to-date on news and announcements! Full-sized bottles retail for $10 and minis for $4.50 and can be purchased at their Etsy shop here

Argyle Nails ♥

Hello everyone! I have a quick nail art attempt that I did last week. I loved this so much that I wore it for 2 days (that's a long time for me - LOL). It wasn't perfect, and it wasn't as good as my inspiration, but I adored it anyway!

First up, my inspiration mani. Sheila at Pointless Cafe did a Copy-Caturday post for argyle nails, seen below.

Argyle Nails done by Pointless Cafe

I didn't have the pink Milani and I decided I wanted to use all creme polishes instead of the metallic silver so I used all Sinful Colors polishes (purchased before my Cruelty-Free update). Sinful Colors Black on Black, Smokin' and Cotton Candy.

My lines could be cleaner but I will try it again and hopefully improve!

Red Dog Designs: Lucky Charms ♥

Hello again! I was ill yesterday and wasn't able to get this posted before Red Dog Designs launched it last night BUT she still has some available, which is surprising to me. This is an awesome glitter and is PERFECT for St. Patrick's Day!

If you followed my blog this time last year, you may remember that I love St. Paddy's Day. So I am super happy for my first mani of the year that features a St. Paddy's Day glitter. This glitter has so many things in it that scream St. Paddy's - green (OF COURSE), gold circle glitters for the gold coins (pot at the end of the rainbow, anyone?) and various colors of the rainbow as well. And the name is just perfect!

I used 2 light coats over various vases - Illamasqua Jo'mina is the purple, a plain back creme on my ring finger and a light green holo that was made just for me by the lovely Gina, creator of Red Dog Designs. I love them all but I think my favorite bases are the green and the black. One coat of Poshe to make it perfectly smooth.

Ninja Polish: Divinity ♥

Happy Saturday! It is an exciting day for all those obsessed with nail polish!! Ninja Polish launched their new Enigma Collection today and I have Divinity to show you today!
(Stay tuned at the end of the post for all swatch links currently available for this collection.)

From Ninja Polish:

Divinity from the Enigma collection is a spectacular polish that pushes the boundaries of what we think we know about color shifting polishes. Divinity is unlike most color shifting polishes because it requires no base color, or 'underwear', and is opaque in 2 coats!

The polishes in the Enigma collection are an intricate mix of pigments to provide you with a truly unique experience on your nails. These polishes are a true enigma due to their ever changing appearance and the surprise of what appears on your nails versus what you see in the bottles. We hope you enjoy the variations of polishes that are...The Enigmas.

Divinity is one of those polishes that makes you go to every different lighting source possible and makes you look at your nails at every possible angle. LOL! The color shifts are so amazing and, maybe best of all, it needs NO UNDIES! I only needed 2 coats of Divinity by itself! (One coat of Poshe top coat in the photos.) In addition to the colors I captured in the photos, there is also a dark green shift that my camera wouldn't capture.

Ninja Polish: Ambrosia ♥

I have something super exciting for you tonight! Ninja Polish is launching two brand new polishes on Saturday (February 23rd) and it is also the kick-off of a brand new collection!

The Enigma Collection will be launching with Divinity and Ambrosia. Ninja Polish described the collection as follows:

The polishes in the Enigma collection are an intricate mix of pigments to provide you with a truly unique experience on your nails. These polishes are a true enigma due to their ever changing appearance and the surprise of what appears on your nails versus what you see in the bottles. We hope you enjoy the variations of polishes that are...The Enigmas.

I am going to be showing you Ambrosia tonight. I will have Divinity to show you soon but for now you can see photos of the jaw-dropping gorgeousness at Pointless Cafe

Ninja Polish - Ambrosia

Ambrosia is described by Ninja Polish below:

am·bro·sia (amˈbrōZH(ē)ə) Noun - The nectar of the gods.

Ninja Polish Ambrosia from the Enigma collection is a simply sweet taste for the eyes. It's hot pink jelly-ish base is the ideal consistency to not only cover in 2 coats but also t
o show off the gentle shimmer. Don't look away as you as you twiddle your fingers or you might miss the delicate color shifts in the shimmer! We hope you will find this polish as delectable as the nectar of the Gods....

This polish is simply stunning. It is a jelly-ish polish packed with shimmer but the most amazing part is the color shift! This polish is a hot pink that shifts to red and has gold and orange in it depending on the light it's in. JUST WOW. This is one you have to see in person to appreciate.

I used 3 thin coats (2 would have been sufficient but since my coats were thinner I had a very slight VNL) and topped it off with one coat of Poshe.
