NOTD: NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty and A New Nail Shape

Nothing to Disclose

Good evening! I have a new-to-me brand and a new nail shape to show you tonight! I had been eyeing NCLA polishes for a while but hadn't pulled the trigger yet. This one popped up in a blog sale for a great price and I couldn't pass it up! Trying a new brand and it being a vampy red - yes, please!

Post continued after the jump!

NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty is a perfect vampy red creme/crelly. The formula was as shiny as a typical jelly/crelly but I only needed 2 coats for complete opacity. The consistency was smooth and easy and the NCLA brush is now one of my favorites! I wasn't able to get outside photos of this one, unfortunately, but in the sun it brightened up a bit and looked like a deep cherry red. I am wearing a top coat in the photos (these were taken the day after I applied it) but it was just as shiny before adding the top coat. This is definitely a brand I will look at getting more of in the future!

I was really loving this color and the length of my nails, then this happened...

*sad face*

It was either chop them down to nubs or trim them and round them so I thought I'd try something new. Here they are, a bit more rounded than usual.

It took some getting used to. I cut them about a week ago and they have grown quite a bit but they are still round and I'm actually liking them!

What do you think of NCLA? Have you tried them?

NCLA products are Cruelty-Free and 5-Free! Their polishes (and nail wraps) retail for $16-$18 and can be purchased on their site, here, as well as at various other retailers. Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram to find out more!

Thanks for reading and happy polishing.  ♥

  2. I got an NCLA polish in my Wantable box - Boullion in a Bottle. I have swatched it on a nail stick and it's a really fun polish! I can't wait to try it on :) This is a great colour, and I love the nail shape.
