Fall Into Fashion - Day 2 of a Halloween Nail Art Challenge!

Day 2 of the Halloween Nail Art Challenge is "sugar rush." We are supposed to do a mani inspired by our favorite candy. I will admit it, I LOVE candy. I have several different kinds that I love but a few months ago I tried my first Heath Bar and it was love at first bite. So here is my Heath Bar-inspired mani!

I took the easy way out and only did the "H" because I didn't have the time to attempt the complete logo - plus that seemed too hard. Hahaha

I used Milani Dark Chocolate, Zoya Arizona and Milani Signature Gold.

Make sure to check out all of the other blogger's manis below!

Thanks for reading! ♥

31 Day Challenge Day 31 - Recreate A Manicure You Love

FINALLY!!! The last day of the challenge is upon us! I am very proud that I completed this challenge without missing a day. I am even more proud to say that I feel this has improved my nail art skills.

Today's prompt leaves so many choices, there are so many manis that I love and would love to be able to recreate. And maybe I will someday. But when I saw this particular mani in the challenge I knew which one I was going to use for today.

I absolutely loved this mani. I have mentioned in the past that I love purses. While I don't own any Hermés, I hope to someday. And even without that, I love the color combo and style of this mani.  First up, a photo of the original mani from Sheila at Pointless Cafe.

How do you think I did? It's not as good as the original but I am pretty happy with it. I can't stop staring at my nails!

Bright and Summery Swirl Explosion!

I have a quickie for you today! I was in the mood to do some nail art this past Friday night. As per usual, most of my attempts turned into fails. I tried and removed several different looks and just couldn't find one that was working for me. The only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to use these four bright colors together, this is what I wound up with...

Bright and Summery Swirls

Overall I am happy with it. I used Orly Green Apple (which I LOVE) as my base and then used Green Apple, Orly Charged Up, Zoya Shelby and Zoya Arizona in a "quadrant" pattern and sponged them together. I then stamped over it with Milani Black Swift using BM19.

What do you thing of my bright swirls? I hope you enjoyed them!

Zoya Spam! PIC HEAVY!

Hello lovely readers! I thought it might be fun to start doing spam posts of some of my favorite brands every once in a while, swatches I have already done but may have been forgotten or the polish is so pretty it deserves to be seen again. :) I decided to kick it off with one of my favorite brands, Zoya!

Zoya is Cruelty-Free, 4-free and has amazing wear. (Note: if you find Zoya is not wearing well on you, try changing your top coat. There are certain top coats, including Seche Vite, that do not play well with Zoya.) They are also a company that has a lot of promos and giveaways! Who doesn't love a good deal on awesome polish? The have also recently started their awesome Share the Love program but I will tell you about that at the bottom of this post. Let's get to the pics, shall we?

I have linked each individual blog post above the picture if you would like to see the complete post.

From their newest collection, The Beach Collection. Release for Summer 2012

One last shot of The Beach Collection (minus the two I don't have yet)

Whew, that was a lot of pics! LOL So many amazing Zoya colors and I have tons on my wishlist that I haven't been able to acquire yet. Stay tuned for those in the future! *wink*

Now for more information on their new Share the Love program! With Share the Love you earn points and with each number of points you get certain rewards (money off purchases, free polish, etc.) Right now if you don't have a Zoya account you can sign up using my link and you will automatically get a free bottle of polish added on to your very first order! You can find my link HERE If you haven't tried Zoya yet, this is an awesome way to start your collection! And if you already love Zoya then you definitely want more colors!

Zoya Beach Collection Wear Test

Happy Friday everyone! I completely forgot today was Friday the 13th until someone told me a little while ago. LOL This is just a quick post to show you how well my Zoya Beach Collection skittles have worn! If you missed the original post you can find it HERE. I have been wearing this mani for 3 full days (yes, 72 hours LOL). This is just about the longest I wear a mani, especially since I started blogging. I tend to change every day (or at least every other day) but I loved this one so much I kept it on longer.

I was very impressed with how well this wore. Absolutely NO chips and minimal tip wear. As you can see in the photo I had the most noticeable wear on my "outer" fingers, index and pinky. This was less noticeable in person than in the pic (macro shows EVERYTHING LOL).

I used to have an issue with Zoya chipping horribly on me. I realized that it was the Seche Vite I was using with it. Apparently Zoya and some fast dry top coats don't play well together. For this mani I used Orly Sec 'N Dry and had no issues.

Sorry for the horrible picture, I was in a hurry!

I am so impressed with both these colors and the wear! I can't wait to get the rest of Zoya's summer collection! Now for all of the info and links!

Zoya recently started a very awesome program called Share the Love. Zoya Beach Collection Skittles and Stamping!

I have a very fun post for you guys tonight! I purchased 3 of the Zoya Beach Collection (Shelby, Tracie and Wednesday) colors from the Good Morning America promo they ran at the end of March. I got all 3 of those for $12, INCLUDING SHIPPING. If you aren't following Zoya on Facebook and Twitter you are missing out on  some great deals (I will post the links at the bottom of this post). I also received Zoya Arizona from my friend Sheila (Pointless Cafe). I couldn't wait to wear all of them so that is what I did! LOL I decided to do a fun, summery mani since it has definitely been Summer weather here (which I happen to HATE by the way). Well it is Summer weather for other places, Spring weather here.

I did skittles with my Zoya Beach colors and then added some fun stamping with KleanColor Metallic Fuschia and BM04. I had some trouble capturing Shelby. She is much prettier in person, a true Barbie pink. For someone who doesn't much care for pink, I am in love with Shelby!

Now for the stamping! I absolutely LOVE the way this turned out!

The color of Shelby on my thumb in this pic is much closer to the true color of Shelby.
