Hi everyone! I have a fun collection to show you tonight! Cynthia from Alter Ego is one of the sweetest and most hard-working people you will ever meet. I have seen her work tirelessly on her brand over the years and she puts every bit of herself into it. I've been lucky enough to meet up with her in person a few times and her passion for her brand shows just as much in person as it does online. She has made several improvements to her polishes over the years but her current formula, which was just released a few months ago, is by far the best yet! She has also recently started creating all sorts of body care items including soaps, spray scents for men, egoSCENTrics (which are like solid lotions and I love using these on my cuticles), dog shampoo (I have been using this on both of my dogs and I really like it) and lip balm - which I have to share with you today!
I will also have a coupon code for 20% off your order at the end of this post, so stay tuned!
This collection comes with a story, which I love! And, being a pirate-themed collection, this story is about Pirate Booty!
I topped all of these polishes with one coat of Alter Ego She Shines Top Coat.

The damsel's father knew no man can resist his beautiful daughter so he hired a bodyguard to protect her. Sadly, Papa didn't know the thug he hired was the King Of Pirate's right hand man and now Papa’s princess is a Royal Prisoner of Love!
Royal Prisoner of Love is a blue-leaning purple linear holo. This one is slightly more purple in person than it is showing in my photos because my camera really wanted to make it blue. The formula was smooth and easy to work with. I am showing two coats and one coat of She Shines.

She's Got the Booty is a green-leaning yellow shimmer with scattered holo. My pics of this one are showing a brighter yellow than this polish is in person. (For color-accurate pics see Pointless Cafe's post.) The formula of this one was easy to work with, not streaky as is typical with yellows. I used 3 thin coats and one coat of She Shines.

She stayed behind to make sure her BFF got off the pirate's boat and sadly, she was caught. No fear, it's a way off the floating hell, and since she may survive, she makes sure she Rocks The Plank in style! She has to appear subdued and scared but when she steps out she glistens in the sun, letting all the colors of her true self blind the pirates as she gracefully dives into the ocean!
Rocks the Plank is a light chocolate brown jelly with scattered holo. This one is so sparkly! I had no issues with formula or application. Since this one is a jelly I needed 3 coats for opacity. I topped it off with one coat of She Shines and had no roughness at all.

She lurks in the shadows of the armory, waiting for her chance. As the jailer passes by, cell keys jingling, our Swashbuckler leaps out, her sword flashing in the light of the lantern! She makes sure he won't be rousing to consciousness any time soon then rushes into the brig save her BFF from being sold to the King of Pirates!
Swashbuckler is probably the glowiest polish I've ever seen! It is a warm copper that is just packed with shimmer. This one goes on very sheer at first. In fact, with the first coat it sort of looked like it might be a topper. But it built up very nicely in 3 coats and I love the finished look! This one also dries to a smooth finish on its own. I am showing 3 coats and one coat of She Shines.

Woohoo! Our fearless heroine survived and while she waits for help has become the most stunning, vibrant and colorful Beachcomber her saviors will ever see! She spends her time wading in the beautiful blue waters as she waits for them to rescue her!
Beachcomber is a beautiful aqua with an intense green shimmer. This one flashed green on me quite a lot, which I really liked, but my camera didn't pick up very well. You can see it a little in the artificial lighting photos. I thought this one might be brush-strokey due to the metallic finish, but it was not! I love the added little sparks that flash in the light. I used 3 coats and one coat of She Shines in the photos below.

Limeade Lip Balm is absolutely amazing! I do not say this lightly. I am one of the pickiest people on the planet when it comes to lip products. I love makeup but I absolutely can't stand stuff on my lips that feels sticky, greasy or tacky. This just feels creamy and moisturizing! And it does a great job of moisturizing my lips in this dry desert heat. Those of you who have followed me for very long know how sensitive my nose is and this is very lightly scented and didn't bother me at all. Two thumbs up from me on the lip balm! And how cute is the little candy container?!
