Japanese Nail Art Theme Week featuring Japanese Cherry Blossoms

Nothing to Disclose

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I am in love with the nail art I did for today's Japanese Theme Week! It's a great feeling to actually like the nail art you created rather than being disappointed in it. Haha! Here are my Japanese Cherry Blossom nails!

Chanel Khaki Vert ♥

Nothing to Disclose

Happy Wednesday! Today started off badly and stayed that way for a while but I think this afternoon might be looking up a little! To cheer myself up after a rough morning I want to show you a lovely gift I received over the weekend. I have wanted the Chanel Les Khakis Collection for a long time but, as I'm sure you know, it is long gone and when you do find them they tend to go for top dollar. The polish I wanted the most out of this collection is Khaki Vert but I had pretty much accepted the fact that I would never own any of them. That is until I received it from a lovely friend this weekend! I have met so many amazing women through our love of nail polish and we have formed friendships and I am so thankful for that. I never thought when I was a kid with a polish obsession that it would lead to all of this but I am so happy that it did!

Red and Black, Split in Half

Happy Saturday! This is the first chance I have had to sit down and take a breath all day so I am just going to show you a quick and easy nail art mani I wore earlier this week. I super duper love this mani!

I had been wearing Chanel Dragon for a day and wanted to do some type of nail art with it so I decided to do a tape mani using SoFlaJo Black Dagger (yes, again - I really love this polish!). I really love the outcome!

NOTD: Chanel Cosmic Violine

Happy Friday everyone! I don't know about you but I am super glad this week is over! The first week and a half of 2013 has not been my friend but I received a very sweet surprise from my friend Silver of The Silverinator AND Fresh Food Diva blogs (you really should check out both blogs - she is amazing at nail art, an amazing cook and, to top it off, a total sweetheart!). I was so shocked to get a package in the mail yesterday and it perked up my week exponentially! Thank you so much Silver! ♥

Chanel Cosmic Violine is breathtaking. It is one of those polishes that you have to see in person to truly appreciate. It is a reddish brown jelly-ish base packed with magenta/fuchsia and gold micro-flakes. My pictures of this do not do it justice - the shimmer is so much more prominent in person. It was a tad bit on the thin side since it's a jelly but I only needed 3 coats for opacity. I topped it off with one coat of Poshe.

Merry Christmas with Chanel Malice and a Little Nail Art!

Merry Christmas readers! I know Christmas is over for many of you by now but this is the first chance I have had to show you what I wore on my nails today.

I received Chanel Malice in the mail yesterday (Christmas Eve) and I couldn't wait to put it on my nails! I had an idea in my head for nail art with completely different colors before I received Malice, so when I decided to wear Malice I had to think of something else. I fell in love with Sheila from Pointless Cafe's Christmas Plaid and Holly mani that she posted on Christmas Eve (link to the post here) and was inspired to try to replicate it. First, lets see the original.

Christmas Plaid and Holly Manicure from Pointless Cafe

I only did accent nails with this design since I was wearing Malice. (As a side note, my photos of Malice do not do this polish justice. I have a LOT of dark reds and none of them are like this. I don't even care for dark red polishes too much anymore but this one is definitely an exception.) My nail art didn't turn out as nice as Sheila's but I really enjoyed wearing this mani today!

Chanel Dragon is Red Perfection!

Happy Friday!

This is the beginning of my "birthday weekend" (my birthday is the 11th) and I have an early birthday pressie to show you tonight. I have received so many sweet polish gifts from some AMAZING ladies that I consider friends.  I have worn many of them but haven't had a chance to post them - I hope to get them all posted soon!

I received Chanel Dragon from my friend Sheila at Pointless Cafe. I have had this one on my wishlist for a long time and am so thrilled to have it. And it is my first Chanel! Yipee! Thanks so  much, Sheila! ♥

I would describe Dragon as a blood red. I think it would look good on cool-toned or warm-toned skin. The formula was PERFECT. It is, by far, the most opaque red creme that I own (and I have a LOT of reds). This could have been a one-coater but I used two. I topped it off with one coat of Poshe. I have been wearing it for 2 days (and am still wearing it as I type) and I have no chips or tip wear.
