Darling Diva Polish Raven from the RuPaul Inspired Collection ♥

Press Sample

Good evening! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I am back with another polish from Darling Diva Polish's RuPaul Inspired Collection. (If you missed my first post in this series you can find it here.) Tonight I have one of my favorites from this collection and I had such a hard time narrowing down photos that I decided to give it its own post!

Raven is a charcoal grey linear holographic polish with color-shifting micro-flakes. This one is just TOO pretty! It is one of my favorite Darling Diva Polishes to date! The micro-flakes shift from purple to violet to pink to gold. It's definitely one of those polishes that will have you staring at your nails all day!

NOTD: Cult Nails Annalicious ♥

I have a quick, but gorgeous, nail of the day post for you tonight! I received this lovely polish as a birthday gift back in November and have worn it several times since then. I've taken photos each time only to have them turn out mediocre. This polish is just so pretty and has so much depth that I finally accepted the fact that I would not be able to do it justice but I wanted to show it anyway.

Annalicious is a gorgeous warm red that is packed with red and gold shimmer (or maybe micro-flakes?). Whatever is in it, it's stunning! Application was perfect - 2 easy coats and no topcoat in the photos.

Maya Cosmetics: Robin ♥

Hello lovelies! I have a gorgeous spring-time polish from Maya Cosmetics to show you today!

Robin looks just exactly how you would expect it to look - like a robin's egg. The perfect robin's egg blue with indigo blue and charcoal grey shimmering micro-flakes. I love this one! It is subtle but the micro-flakes really make it special.

The formula on this one was amazing - I needed 2 coats and they went on very smoothly and evenly. There was some slight settling of the flakies in the bottle but nothing a little shake and/or toothpick stir can't fix (I only needed to shake mine).  I used one coat of Poshe for the photos.

Dandy Nails: Flamingo Kisses ♥

Good morning everyone. I have a very special polish from Dandy Nails to show you this morning. It is special because it is inspired by Victoria Soto, a brave teacher lost in the Sandy Hook tragedy. Sandy from Dandy Nails found out that Victoria loved collecting flamingos of all sizes, so she made this gorgeous polish to honor her and her bravery. And the best part - 100% of the profits of this polish will go to the Victoria L. Soto Memorial Fund for Education.

Flamingo Kisses is a soft pink full of pink, purple and iridescent micro-flakes. I used three thin coats and one coat of Poshe top coat. No issues at all. Perfect formula.

Also, don't forget to "like" Dandy Nails on Facebook for updates and other information about restocks, new colors, etc. Ninja Polish will not have this polish since it's a donation polish, but they carry the rest of the Dandy Nails line at their shop here and you can also follow them on Facebook for updates.

piCture pOlish: FOCUS by Pointless Cafe ♥

Good afternoon everyone! I am very excited about the polish I have to show you today! I love it so much that I have worn it 3 times already!

My amazing friend Sheila from Pointless Cafe was one of the bloggers chosen by piCture pOlish (participants were chosen based on their piCture pOlish Blogfest posts) to create her very own polish shade and I think she created quite a stunner! It was originally a limited edition shade but it sold so well that it was announced last night that piCture pOlish would be adding it to their permanent line! This is great news for anyone that hasn't been able to snag a bottle yet (or may want a backup or two.... like me).

Focus is a gorgeous deep red/violet shade the is packed full of iridescent micro-flakes that absolutely glow from within! *SWOON* The formula was great - I had absolutely no issues at all. I would call this one a crelly - it's more opaque than a jelly but still sheer enough that the micro-flakes shine through. Since I have worn this multiple times already, I can tell you that on shorter nails it is opaque in two coats and on longer nails you will generally need a third.  One coat of top coat and you're good to go.

I have a lot of photos of this one (under various lighting situations) and none of them do this polish justice. It is definitely one of those polishes that you have to see in person to truly appreciate.

First up are some shots under artificial lighting...

NOTD: Chanel Cosmic Violine

Happy Friday everyone! I don't know about you but I am super glad this week is over! The first week and a half of 2013 has not been my friend but I received a very sweet surprise from my friend Silver of The Silverinator AND Fresh Food Diva blogs (you really should check out both blogs - she is amazing at nail art, an amazing cook and, to top it off, a total sweetheart!). I was so shocked to get a package in the mail yesterday and it perked up my week exponentially! Thank you so much Silver! ♥

Chanel Cosmic Violine is breathtaking. It is one of those polishes that you have to see in person to truly appreciate. It is a reddish brown jelly-ish base packed with magenta/fuchsia and gold micro-flakes. My pictures of this do not do it justice - the shimmer is so much more prominent in person. It was a tad bit on the thin side since it's a jelly but I only needed 3 coats for opacity. I topped it off with one coat of Poshe.
