Indie Spotlight: Paint Box Polish with Harry Potter-Inspired Christmas Nail Art

Hello! This month's Indie Spotlight brand is one of my personal favorite brands - Paint Box Polish! This also happens to be my first Christmas nail art of the season. I figured December 1st was a good day to kick off Christmas manis! I used three different Paint Box Polish shades to create this look. Keep reading to find out more!

31 Day Challenge: Day 27 - Haunted House for Halloween!

Happy Halloween all of you ghosts and goblins! I've got a mani to show you today that I have ben working on for several days. I've been so busy I didn't have much time to work on it, and every time I would try to work on it I would get interrupted. I finally finished it last night! I know I have dragged the 31 Day Challenge out way longer than I should have, but I am determined to finish, even if I am way late!

31 Day Challenge: Day 25 - Inspired by Fashion

Happy Friday, everyone! I have some beautiful polishes I've been swatching to share with you soon but in the meantime I have another look for the 31 Day Challenge! Today's prompt is "inspired by fashion" and I took inspiration from a dress I saw one of the characters wear on The Young and the Restless earlier this week!

31 Day Challenge: Day 24 - Weirwood Tree from Game of Thrones

Hello! Sorry I have been absent the last week, but I am continuing on with the 31 Day Challenge. Better to finish late than never! My current prompt is "inspired by a book" and I knew exactly what I wanted to do for this one! I am semi-cheating because my inspiration photo came from the TV show Game of Thrones, but it was originally a book and the Weirwood Trees were in the books!

31 Day Challenge: Day 23 - Psycho

Hello everyone! My next prompt in the 31 Day Challenge is "inspired by a movie" and I chose one of my favorites to take inspiration from! I love old movies, one of my favorite genres is the old thriller/mystery movies. When I was around 10 or 12, I discovered Alfred Hitchcock and made it my mission to see all of his movies so I spent a lot of time at video stores hunting down all the VHS tapes! (Yes, I'm that old.) I love everything he's done and his movies are among my favorites that I can watch over and over again. One of them is the classic, Psycho

31 Day Challenge: Day 22 - One-Eyed, One-Horned Flying Purple People Eater

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a great Friday and Saturday with some amazing friends and gorgeous scenery (and temps!). Today wasn't so great, but I managed to do a little nail art tonight to continue on the 31 Day Challenge! Today is the "inspired by a song" prompt and I just had to do one of my favorite "Halloween" songs since I was a kid! (You can check out the mani I did based on my other favorite Halloween song in the 31 Day Challenge in 2014 here!)

31 Day Challenge: Day 21 - The Axe!

It's Friday!! And not only is it Friday, but I am getting ready to head up north to see a friend and enjoy some Autumn-like temps! I can't wait! I am also super excited to show you the mani I am wearing right now and tell you the story behind it!

31 Day Challenge: Day 18 - Half Moon Spider Webs

Hello! I have a late post tonight, but I love this look! I am not usually a fan of half moon manis on myself. I love them on other people but they always seem odd on my nails. I wanted to think outside the box for today's look and was feeling in a Halloween mood so I decided to make some half moon spider webs!

31 Day Challenge: Day 16 - Layered Triangles

Hello! I am on the geometric prompt for the 31 Day Challenge and decided to do some fun layered triangles. I think this mani is very 80s, which is not usually my style, but it's fun!

31 Day Challenge: Day 14 - Floral Silhouette

Happy Friday, everyone! I have another design for the 31 Day Challenge for you today! Today's prompt is floral. To be honest, I am usually sort of intimidated by florals for some reason. I'm not sure why, I think I make them super complicated in my head. But this mani popped up in my memories on Facebook from a year ago today and it's one of my favorite so I decided to do a different take on it!

31 Day Challenge: Day 6 - Violet Stripes and Dots

Hello! I've fallen behind on the 31 Day Challenge - but better late than never, right? So I am trying to play catch-up and have Day 6 to show you tonight! I took inspiration for this mani from Sheila at Pointless Cafe and I love how it turned out!

Manis for Rose from Manicured and Marvelous

Welcome to a brand new week, everyone! Rose from Manicured and Marvelous has been feeling quite poorly for the last few months due to a chronic illness that she has, so Jessica from Be Happy and Buy Polish thought it would be nice for some of us to get together and recreate some of our favorite Rose manis. I thought it was a very sweet idea and was excited to join in!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Whimsy: Faerieland

Happy Friday! I have fallen a day behind with this week's Digit-al Dozen challenge due to a bad headache yesterday, but I am planning to post my last mani over the weekend! In the meantime, it's my turn to take on faeries! A lot of faeries have been done by my fellow Digital Dozen members this week, and I have loved all of them! I have been wanting to bust out my neons for awhile now and I figured this would be a great time to do it! My mani reminds me of a fun and bright faerieland!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Whimsy: Whimsical Tree

Hello! It is time for a brand new week with the Digit-al Dozen! April just flew by, and May is doing the same so far! It's hard to believe we're nearly halfway through May already. Anyway, this month's Digit-al Dozen theme is Whimsy! This one has been a hard theme for me because "whimsy" isn't typically my style. I am having a lot of fun trying to think outside my box though and had a lot of fun creating the mani I have to show you today!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Gradients +: Twisty Triangles

Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! I am so sad I wasn't able to post all 5 days this week, but I have a mani I am really happy with to close out the week! I love my gradient base and I did some fun freehand work on top - I haven't gotten to do freehand nail art in awhile and I have missed it so much!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Spring: Bold Floral

Hello! I am back with another Spring-inspired manicure tonight to continue this month's Digit-al Dozen theme! Today's post is one that is special to me. Not because the nail art is spectacular, but because of the person I was inspired by to create this look. More about that in the post below!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Nail Heroes: Leah Ann from Llarowe

Happy Friday! I apologize for being so absent this week. I had all of my Digit-al Dozen manicures planned out but then I was hit with a 4-day long migraine and every time I thought it was easing up it would just come roaring back. I am finally starting to feel better and I wanted to at least join in on the last day of Digit-al Dozen week!

My nail hero today is Leah Ann from Llarowe/Colors by Llarowe. Leah Ann was the very first stockist - her website was the very first website to carry multiple brands of nail polish from all over the world. Without her, the nail polish community would not be what it is today. In the midst of that she created her very own gorgeous line of colors called Color by Llarowe. She recently stopped carrying other brands but her brand is still going strong and she creates some absolutely gorgeous colors and her formulas are, in my experience, always spot-on.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Nail Heroes: Debbie from The Crumpet

Hello and welcome to a brand new Digit-al Dozen Week! This week we will be honoring our nail heroes - whether that be a fellow blogger, a polish brand, nail art tool, etc. Today we all decided to get together to honor Debbie from The Crumpet! She has recently decided to take a step back from blogging (you can read more about that in her blog post), but there wouldn't even be a Digit-al Dozen without Debbie so it only seemed fitting to honor her!
