Superficially Colorful Lacquer: Remnants of Winter Collection - Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Happy Sunday! I am very excited about the brand and collection I have to show you today. Superficially Colorful Lacquer is the brainchild of my friend, Jin. She has sent me several of her amazing thermal polishes over the last couple of years as gifts (you can find my pics of Impulsive here). She is so talented that I have, along with several other ladies, been trying to convince her to sell them publicly so she has finally opened shop!

Her thermals are amazing, and are available in her shop (I will have more of those to show you soon), but today I have her first official non-thermal collection to show you. The Remnants of Winter Collection.

Post continued after the jump!

The Remnants of Winter Collection is made up of 5 shimmer polishes with holographic microglitter and a slight metallic finish. And one of them is a multi-chrome! The application was the same on all of them, smooth and easy. I did have a some light brushstrokes on Mud Slide and Cape Cliffs but nothing too noticeable (you'll be able to see in the photos that they aren't that noticeable). I used 2 coats and one coat of top coat for all the photos.

Cape Cliffs is a deep, cool forest green.

Eye of the Storm is a gorgeous deep blue with light blue shimmer that really sets it off and adds a lot of depth.

Mud Slide is a bronze shimmer that positively glows! It is showing more copper in my photos than it is in person. It is more of a cool-toned bronze in person.

Seconds Before Dark is my favorite from this collection, which is saying something. It's a deep red-toned brown that reads as a burgundy/vampy red on me in some lighting.  This one, like the others, just glows from within!

Turbulence is the last polish from this collection, and also the multi-chrome! This one shifts from purple to blue to red and even to orange (which I caught a glimpse of in one of the photos but it's much easier to see in person).

Well there you have it! This collection is so pretty, it has so much more depth than my photos capture. And the "glowy, lit-from-within" quality makes it extra special.

These are available now at the Superficially Colorful shop here and they retail for $9.00 each. She ships out of Israel but world-wide shipping is available.
