Red Dog Designs: Be Careful, It's My Heart - Swatches and Review

Hello lovelies! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend so far!

I have quite a treat for you tonight! Red Dog Designs is releasing her brand new collection, Ol' Blue Eyes, on January 25th and I have 3 of them to show you over the next few days. Tonight I have Be Careful, It's My Heart. I absolutely love this era of music - it's one of my favorites - so I was very excited to hear about this collection. Gina, the creator of Red Dog Designs, did not disappoint! She puts so much thought and care into each polish she creates and it definitely shows.

Be Careful, It's My Heart is a glitter polish in a clear base that is made up of blue, silver, holo silver and chartreuse glitters, blue hearts and a microfine blue holo glitter that pops so well! I absolutely love how the green glitters mingle with the blue and silver - this is a really great mix of colors.

The formula and application was fantastic - I had absolutely no issues and the glitters all laid completely flat. I didn't have to do any dabbing (other than getting the hearts "just where I wanted them" - but that's my obsessiveness coming out - LOL) and everything came off the brush well. I layered 2 thin coats over Butter London Sprog and only needed one coat of Poshe to make everything smooth. (Any bubbles seen in the photos are from my topcoat, not the polish.) I also wanted to see how it would look matte (which was amazing!) so I included photos of the matte version at the end.

Sea Lore Arctic Otter - Swatches and Review

Hello, everyone! Long time, no see! I have a gorgeous glitter for you tonight!

Sea Lore Arctic Otter is beige square glitter and small champagne-colored glitter in a shimmery dark brown base. This is such a pretty color!

I have the mini blogger sample of this one (as well as Wintry Whale and Gracial Grayling). These three have been re-formulated and the amounts of glitter in the mini bottles re-calculated so that any the customers receive will have a formula a bit different from these. I had NO issues with this polish - it applied smoothly and evenly and all of the glitters laid flat on the nail. It was completely opaque in 2 coats.I used 2 coats of Arctic Otter topped with Gelous.

All of Sea Lore polishes are hand mixed, 3-free and cruelty-free and only use stainless steel balls. All of the glitters are tested a minimum of 2 months by themselves in base to ensure that all glitters are non bleeding and non curling. Jamie says, "We are a relatively new company, but have been in the works for quite a while. I took my time designing each and every portion of the Sea Lore line, from gift wrapping each order to the labels on each bottle, I just wanted to show each and every customer how much they mean to me! As a thank you to my customers, I am offering a free ring with every $20 purchase with your choice of Sea Lore color."

Sea Lore polishes retail for $5.50 for 7.5 ml and $10 for 15 ml bottles. Make sure to check out Sea Lore's website and store (where she is currently fully stocked). Also follow her on Facebook and Twitter. She hosts sales very often to show her customers how much she appreciates them so I suggest you follow so you don't miss out!

Rainbow Honey The Sweet Talk Collection - Swatches and Review

Hello everyone! I hope your Monday was as good as any Monday possibly can be! I have 2 out of the 3 polishes from Rainbow Honey's new collection to show you tonight - The Sweet Talk Collection.

First up we have the namesake of the collection, Sweet Talk. Sweet Talk is a white jelly base with purple, pink and light green glitter pieces. This one applied well, I had no issues whatsoever. I used 2 coats over a white base on all fingers except for my accent nail (ring finger) where I used 4 coats by itself. I topped it off with 1 coat of Poshe and it was perfectly smooth to the touch.

Lastly we have my favorite of the two, XOXO. This one is a glitter topper in a clear base with holo magenta and gold glitters and holo shimmer. I love this one and it had great application as well! I used 2 thin coats over Barry M Mushroom on all fingers except my ring finger where I used it over Nails Inc. Fulham Palace Road. 1 coat of Poshe also made this one smooth to the touch.

What do you think of this collection? I am impressed! They are great combos and fantastic formulas! The 3rd polish in this collection is called Be Mine and is a pink-base polish with flakes.

Maya Cosmetics It's Not Easy - Swatches and Review

Good evening everyone! I have another Maya Cosmetics polish to show you tonight!

It's Not Easy is a green (of course!) jelly polish with light and dark green matte glitters with a gold shimmer (much like the shimmer in the jellies from the Crescent City Collection). I really love this one! Of course, you know I love green so that makes it even better! I had no issues with application at all - it went on smoothly and evenly. It is a jelly so it took 4 coats for opacity (I am also showing it with 3 coats in the last photo) but that is typical for a jelly. I topped it off with one coat of Poshe and it was smooth to the touch.

4 coats in all photos except the last one where I am showing 3.

NOTD: Cult Nails Vicious with Lynderella LavenDear Gradient

Happy Saturday! I have a quick nail of the day for you tonight. I took my parents out to dinner for their anniversary tonight and did my nails to coordinate with the top I was wearing. I really love the way this mani turned out!

I used Cult Nails Vicious and did a gradient (and reverse gradient on my accent nails) with Lynnderella LavenDear. I topped it off with one coat of Gelous and one coat of Poshe.

NOTD: Chanel Cosmic Violine

Happy Friday everyone! I don't know about you but I am super glad this week is over! The first week and a half of 2013 has not been my friend but I received a very sweet surprise from my friend Silver of The Silverinator AND Fresh Food Diva blogs (you really should check out both blogs - she is amazing at nail art, an amazing cook and, to top it off, a total sweetheart!). I was so shocked to get a package in the mail yesterday and it perked up my week exponentially! Thank you so much Silver! ♥

Chanel Cosmic Violine is breathtaking. It is one of those polishes that you have to see in person to truly appreciate. It is a reddish brown jelly-ish base packed with magenta/fuchsia and gold micro-flakes. My pictures of this do not do it justice - the shimmer is so much more prominent in person. It was a tad bit on the thin side since it's a jelly but I only needed 3 coats for opacity. I topped it off with one coat of Poshe.
