Happy Valentine's Day! I'm not a huge fan of this holiday but I think it's always a great idea to show the people you love just how much they mean to you.  I created a fun nail look and I think it's great for Valentine's Day or year-round!

For this mani I used a base of a gorgeous bright red creme (Kiko 239). I then used the Sticky Nails stencils that I won in a giveaway on their Facebook page! This was my first time trying them and I loved them! I do think they are almost too sticky so I suggest applying them to your skin and then your nail to get just a bit of the tackiness off. I had been wearing the red base alone for a couple of days but if I had applied it recently I think the Sticky Nails applied without removing some of the tackiness might have pulled off my base color. But I loved the pre-cut shapes and the fact that they were SO easy! I will definitely buy more in the future! The glitter is Girly Bits A Stripper Has Been Sleeping In My Bed which is silver and holographic sparkleisciousness. I topped it all off with one coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl.

Good morning and happy Thursday! I know Follow a Tutorial Week is over but I think following tutorials are a great way to grow and learn! I am still trying to improve my nail art skills so today I have a mani inspired by another tutorial from Sarah at Chalkboard Nails!

Happy Hump Day!  I have another installment of my textured nail art series using Kiko Sugar Mats tonight!

 In case you missed my previous posts in this series (which I will link at the bottom), Kiko Sugar Mats are coming soon to Ninja Polish! Sheila from Pointless Cafe swatched all of them for you and I will be doing nail art to coordinate with each swatch post that she did (possibly more than one nail art post, depending on the colors in the swatch post). Today I am using 3 polishes from Part 2 of her 4 part series, which you can find here, #635, #636 and #637. The Sugar Mat Collection is made up of 16 polishes - 8 non-shimmers and 8 shimmers. All of these are the non-shimmers. All three had great formulas and were very easy to work with.

Hello lovelies! I am very excited about the post I have for you today, as well as the series it kicks off! You may have seen on Pointless Cafe's blog last week that the complete Kiko Sugar Mat Collection is coming soon to Ninja Polish and to go along with her amazing swatches I am going to do be doing some fun nail art using the Sugar Mats!

NOTD: Kiko 393 (Havana Green) ♥

Hello everyone! I have a quick NOTD post this afternoon. 

Kiko is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands - unfortunately they are hard to get your hands on if you live in the US! The formula on all of their polishes that I have tried so far has been superb and their brushes are my favorite out of all the brands of polish I own.

Kiko #393 Havana Green is a lovely "military" green creme - perfect formula, no complaints. This is 2 coats and no topcoat.

At this time I do not know of anywhere in the US that you can purchase these - I hope that changes soon! They are available in stores in France and Italy and online throughout the UK and Europe.

MANIc Monday! Gradient Laser Mani ♥

Hello and welcome to MANIc Monday! I am excited to introduce this new feature to my blog! Every Monday will now be MANIc Monday (get it, MANIc as in mani - hehe) and I will feature some sort of nail art. I may try to copy an amazing mani I've seen elsewhere or come up with something on my own. I really enjoy trying to do nail art but I don't seem to always make time for it. This way I will make myself make time for it! Hopefully it will help me improve my art skills as well!

For today's design I decided to copy a mani that I saw from two of my favorite nail bloggers (and people that I am happy to call friends!) - Amy at I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous and Sheila at Pointless Café.

I don't have the gorgeous long nails that these ladies have so my striping tape and gradient goes about halfway up my nail but I still love the way it turned out! I started out with a base of Kiko #327 (Granite Grey/Grigio Granite) - a medium grey creme. I then sponged on Kiko #400 Grey Holo. I added topcoat and waited for that to dry before adding my striping tape and sponging on SoFLaJo Black Dagger. I did not add topcoat because I really love Black Dagger's leather finish!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! ♥

Just a quick "Happy St. Patrick's Day" mani! 

I had a hard time getting the stamping to show up in the photos because after I put my topcoat on the stamping "faded" - it was much more opaque pre-topcoat. I've never had that happen before! Anyway, I used Kiko 339 Havana Green for my base and Zoya Ziv for the stamping with Messy Mansion MM04. (For a link to the Messy Mansion site, click here.)

I went for more of a muted look and I am very happy with how it turned out, minus the dulling of the stamping. I wish I had been able to do more St. Paddy's Day manis this year but time wasn't on my side.

Kiko #400 Grey Holo - Swatches and Review

Happy Tuesday everyone! 

I have a beauty for you today. I posted a teaser pic on Facebook and Instagram last night (if you want to follow via Facebook or Instagram you can find the links in my right sidebar) to see if anyone could guess the gorgeous holo. Nobody guessed the correct answer - Kiko! (Not that that's overly surprising since they are kind of hard to come by in most places.)

The formula was FABULOUS - it was nearly a one-coater. And the holo is SO STRONG. I've been wearing this for two days and I still can't stop staring at my nails.I love that this is grey and not a bright silver, it looks so much better with my pale skin than a silver. It's definitely one of my favorite polishes ever. I will be needing a backup (or two). I also want to take a minute to say how much I LOVE the Kiko brush. This is my first Kiko and I am super impressed by both the brush and the quality of the polish. I would say it rivals Dior's brush (though it is not tapered like the Dior brush) - they are both wonderful to use.

Isn't is gorgeous? I think I am going to need more Kikos - and a lot of them! Unfortunately, I don't know of any place in the US where you can purchase these. I received this one from a very lovely friend.  I do know they are available in the UK and France. I hope they start marketing these in the US soon!
