Happy St. Patrick's Day! ♥

Just a quick "Happy St. Patrick's Day" mani!

I had a hard time getting the stamping to show up in the photos because after I put my topcoat on the stamping "faded" - it was much more opaque pre-topcoat. I've never had that happen before! Anyway, I used Kiko 339 Havana Green for my base and Zoya Ziv for the stamping with Messy Mansion MM04. (For a link to the Messy Mansion site, click here.)

I went for more of a muted look and I am very happy with how it turned out, minus the dulling of the stamping. I wish I had been able to do more St. Paddy's Day manis this year but time wasn't on my side.

The Nail Junkie: St. Patrick's Day Collection ♥

Happy Saturday everyone! How about something super happy to start off your weekend? I think St. Patrick's Day qualifies as super happy!

Today I have The Nail Junkie's St Patrick's Day Collection - Shamrock, Leprechaun and Pot O' Gold!

This collection is so lovely and screams St. Paddy's Day! The formula was fantastic on all 3 of these with everything spreading smoothly and evenly and all glitters lying perfectly flat.

---------------------------------

First up is my favorite from the collection - Pot O' Gold! Pot O' Gold is described by the maker as "a black jelly base filled with gold coins (circle glitter) and fine gold dust (micro glitter)." Perfect! I love the way the gold shines through the black adn I especially love the circle glitters!! I have such a love for circle glitters - and they really do look like gold coins! The name and look of this polish couldn't be more spot on. I used 2 coats of this one alone for full opacity and topped it off with one coat of Poshe.

--------------------------------

Leprechaun is next and is described by the maker as "satin white base loaded with green and gold micro-glitters." This one is so pretty and delicate. I do have to apologize for my "lobster hands" in the photos - white does not like my pale skin! This is 2 coats topped with one coat of Poshe.

------------------------------

Lastly is Leprechaun which is described as a "symbolic polish filled with stems and leaves from a shamrock plant: A clear base with emerald green bar glitter, hex glitters and fine green glitter." I only needed one coat of Shamrock over Leprechaun and they look superb together! I topped it off with one coat of Poshe as well.

Ninja Polish: Shillelagh ♥

Happy Friday everyone! I have a super exciting post to kick off your weekend! If you saw my last post on Ninja Polish Shamrock Floam (click here if you missed it) you know that I have another St. Patrick's Day polish from Ninja Polish to show you! Enter the lovely Shillelagh!

Ninja Polish Shillelagh is a gorgeous green shimmer and is described by the maker as follows:

shil·le·lagh (sh-ll, -l) Noun - An irish word for a cudgel made of blackthorn, oak, or other hardwoods. Usually slightly smaller than a walking stick or cane. Good for quick repetitious beating of individuals. Also used by some witty irish males to refer to their ..er...um....well you can figure it out! Also known to be used by Leprechauns to call their rainbows!

Ninja Polish Shillelagh from the Enigma collection is a magically delicious polish that reaches through the rainbow for the most perfect shades of green with the most magical sparkle. Shillelagh is unlike most color shifting polishes because it requires no base color, or 'underwear', and is opaque in 2-3 coats, all on its own. It contains all the color shifting shimmer and sparkle that you can handle on your nails! This polish needs to be seen in person to be appreciated fully.  This polish is being released in conjunction with not only St Patrick's day (fun fun) but also with the theatrical release of Oz, the Great and Powerful...so exciting! So get your bottle of Shillelagh...it's magically delicious!

That description is perfect and this polish is so fun and beautiful! The way the green shifts from light green to dark, almost emerald green and the gold, and even sometimes bronze, shimmer dances in the light has me imagining leprechauns dancing over my fingers! I used 3 thin coats (but probably could have stopped at two) and no topcoat for the photos. All photos taken inside unless otherwise noted.
This polish, along with Shamrock Floam, will launch on Saturday, March 9, 2013.

Ninja Polish: Shamrock Floam ♥

I have something super exciting to show you tonight!! A preview of one of Ninja Polish's new St. Patrick's Day polishes - Shamrock Floam!

Shamrock Floam, as well as the other Ninja Polish St. Patrick's Day polish (and maybe a couple other surprises), will be released Saturday, March 9th! (Stay tuned until the end of this post and I might have a special preview for you.)

Shamrock Floam is my favorite Floam polish to date! I love St. Paddy's Day and I just love the colors in this version of Floam! Shamrock Floam is a mix of green and white small glitters and the formula was FABULOUS. As with all of the Floam polishes, it can be worn alone with 3-4 coats but I have layered it in all of the photos. I only used one coat in all photos, topped with one coat of Poshe.  I have topped it over several different colors so you can get a feel of what it looks like over many different bases. Any bubbles in the photos are from my topcoat, not the polish.

First up, my favorite combo, over a plain black...
