Good evening! Today kicks off a brand new Digit-al Dozen Week! The theme this month is Nature and I have had so many ideas swimming around in my head that it was hard to narrow them down. You are probably looking at the picture and wondering how in the world that ties in with nature. Follow me after the jump and I will explain!
As I said earlier, I had a hard time narrowing down all the ideas in my head for this theme. (And who knows what I will choose tomorrow - I still have no idea!) I decided to go back to some inspiration I found last month at the zoo with a very awesome pattern on a tortoise shell!
I tried to mimic the pattern on the shell, and I think I did a fairly good job with that. I am not happy with the light gold/yellow color, however. I actually did this mani twice and the second time I worked on trying to get the right color for about an hour; I thought I had it matched fairly closely until I layered it over the brown. So it's not my favorite nail art ever, but they can't all be favorites.
Hopefully I have something much better for you tomorrow! In the meantime, make sure you check out all of the gorgeous manis below. They really knocked them out of the park!
Thanks for reading and happy polishing!
