Good morning! Here I am, behind again! I've really got to start doing my Digit-al Dozen manis ahead of time. ;) But I am super happy with today's look and I'm sad I'm going to have to take it off soon (another reason for doing them ahead of time!). Today's nail art is inspired by a tutorial from the uber talented, and fellow Digit-al Dozen member, Lindsey from Wondrously Polished.

I love seeing floral nail art, but for some reason I am always very intimidated to try it myself. I have only done a few floral looks myself, but I really do enjoy them, so I am going to try to start doing more of them. I love Lindsey's florals (who doesn't?), and I remembered there were a couple of her tutorials I'd been wanting to try for a while, so this was the perfect chance!
To create this look I followed Lindsey's tutorial, which can be found here. I knew I wanted a bright and cheery base color so I went perusing my stash to see what would jump out at me. My friend (and another Digit-al Dozen-er) Jacki from Adventures in Acetone sent me Dior Bouquet as a very sweet surprise a few months ago. I've worn it but I have not posted it on here so I figured with a name like Bouquet, it was destined for floral nail art!
As I have said many times before, I am not a huge fan of pink. But I am obsessed with coral. Bouquet is very pigmented and coral-leaning, so I love it. The formula was not the best, which is the first time I've personally experienced that with Dior.It was a bit streaky and patchy going on and needed 3 coats to be evened out. But it wasn't troublesome enough to make me not use it again.
I created the flowers using acrylic paint. I topped it off with KBShimmer Clearly on Top and, once that was dry, added a coat of Cult Nails Wax That. Wax That took it to another level in my opinion. Perfect finish for this mani.
I hope you enjoyed this mani as much as I am loving it! It's one of my favorite manis I've done in a long time. Make sure to check out all of the amazing manis below!
Thanks for reading and happy polishing!
