SoFlaJo: Black Dagger ♥

Hello! I'm sorry my posting has been so sporadic lately, life has just been really busy. Hopefully it will pick back up now!

Today I have a polish for you that I really didn't expect to love - but once I got it on I loved it! I'm usually not a huge fan of black polish on my nails but this one made me feel sexy! The look of the "leather" finish really sets it apart. The application was amazing - this is two easy coats.  The first few photos show off the yummy leather finish and the last few show what it looks like with one coat of Poshe.

Happy Saturday!! It's a cloudy, rainy day here in Arizona which makes me one happy woman!

I am so excited to show you the nail design I'm wearing today! I did this nail art last night and had planned on posting it after I reviewed both of these polishes, but I was too excited to wait! I started out with a base of Ninja Polish Nebula and used striping tape with SoFlaJo Black Dagger on top.

Red Dog Designs: Hey! Jealous Lover ♥

Happy Friday everyone! I have one more polish from Red Dog Design's Ol' Blue Eyes Collection to show you - Hey! Jealous Lover.

Hey! Jealous Lover is packed with so much glittery goodness - it's exactly as it's described in the photo above. I am usually not a huge fan of heart glitters but the way these tangerine-colored hearts pop is so pretty! I had absolutely no issues with the formula - you get a lot of glitter with each dip of the brush and it spreads nicely and evenly onto the nail. All of the glitters were perfectly flat on the nail with no curling. Also, I didn't have to dig for the hearts!

I did a couple of different combos with this one (and then added a matte top coat to my favorite combo!). I topped it with one generous coat of Poshe and everything was perfectly smooth - it's not a hungry glitter. Okay, on to the photos!

Sea Lore: Wintry Whale ♥

Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend - YAY!

I have another Sea Lore polish to show you tonight - Wintry Whale. Wintry Whale is a dark blue shimmering base with several shades of blue glitter and baby blue squares. I have the mini blogger sample of this one (as well as Arctic Otter and Gracial Grayling). These three have been re-formulated and the amounts of glitter in the mini bottles re-calculated so that any the customers receive will have a formula a bit different from these. I had NO issues with this polish - it applied smoothly and evenly and all of the glitters laid flat on the nail. It was completely opaque in 2 coats.I used 2 coats of Wintry Whale topped with Gelous.

All of Sea Lore polishes are hand mixed, 3-free and cruelty-free and only use stainless steel balls. All of the glitters are tested a minimum of 2 months by themselves in base to ensure that all glitters are non bleeding and non curling. Red Dog Designs: My Stardust Melody ♥

Hello lovelies! I have another gorgeous Red Dog Designs polish from her Ol' Blue Eyes Collection to show you! Tonight I have My Stardust Melody for your viewing pleasure. (If you missed my post on Be Careful, It's My Heart, you can find it here.) 

My Stardust Melody is a very soft, delicate glitter. It is a mix of pastel green, lavender and white matte hex glitters with iridescent color-shifting squares and holo glitters. Wow! It is soft and delicate but SO sparkly, all at the same time. There is so much sparkle that it can't be captured, or truly appreciated, in a photo. Gina, creator of Red Dog Designs, chose the following line from the song Stardust as her inspiration (the lavender glitters are for the purple dusk of twilight and the green are for the meadows of my heart - and the sparkle reminds me of the stars):

"And now the purple dusk of twilight time steals across the meadows of my heart. High up in the sky the little stars climb, always remind me that we're apart."

I layered this over medium-to-dark bases so that the glitters would pop but I have seen it over light bases and it looks so beautiful both ways. I had no issues with formula or application. I used 2 easy coats and all the glitters laid perfectly flat and spread nicely. My base was Pure Ice French Love Affair and Pure Ice Blue Midnight for my accent nail. I topped it off with one coat of Gelous.

Chirality Nail Polish: Cu2+

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have a beauty from a new-to-me indie brand to show you today! I received 3 Chirality polishes as a surprise gift from a friend about a month or so ago and have used all 3 more than once - I just hadn't had a chance to get photos of them yet!I will have the other two (Kale and Apollonia) up soon as well!

I planned on posting this today and thought it was rather funny when my friend Sheila at Pointless Cafe posted it as well! (You can see her post on it here.) I was going to postpone my post but decided against it because I was really excited to show it off! So, we are having an impromptu Twinsie Tuesday. LOL!

Cu2+ is a teal tightly-scattered holo and has an amazing formula) it was nearly a one-coater but I used two). I am such a sucker for these types of holos. I still love linear holos but I think I actually prefer this type of holo over linear. I love how you can still see the color shine through the holo and the satin-y finish of the polish.   I usually wear these without top coat because I like the finish of the polish on its own.

Let's get on to the pics, shall we? I have several for you because I had a hard time narrowing them down. Please excuse the shiny cuticles - I had just gotten through doing a lot of swatching and my cuticles were screaming at me. I figured shiny cuticles were better than dry ones! :)
