Press Sample

Good morning! I hope you're having a great day so far!

I am so excited to show you guys this topcoat today because it is the holy grail of matte topcoats! I have tried several different matte topcoats and none of them come close to being this awesome! butter LONDON Matte Finish Topcoat has a perfect formula and creates a true matte finish in just one easy coat. There's really not much more to say other than I will never need to try a different matte topcoat.

I have used it below over butter LONDON Dosh. I have a photo of Dosh with regular (shiny) topcoat so you can see the finish before adding the Matte Finish Topcoat.

butter LONDON Brummie - Swatches and Review ♥

Press Sample

Hello lovely readers! I have a gorgeous butter LONDON to show you tonight!

Brummie is a medium warm-toned purple that dries to an awesome rubbery finish. It dries slightly darker than in the bottle but is still a very vivid medium purple. I love this one and really enjoyed wearing it. I did need 3 coats for complete opacity but didn't have any issues with the formula. I am showing it with and without topcoat. I can't decide how I like it more.

butter LONDON Tea & Toast - Swatches and Review ♥

Happy Thursday! I have a fabulous butter LONDON to show you today!

Tea & Toast is a caramel colored creme that goes on like butter. I was so impressed by the formula on this one. I almost stopped at one coat but did two. I have been wearing this for nearly 24 hours WITHOUT topcoat and I have no chips and very little tip wear. I'm seriously in love with this one.

NOTD: Butter London Teetotal with Dandy Nails Look Around Gradient!

Hello lovelies!

I have a quick nail of the day post for you. I have actually been wearing this for THREE days and have no chips or tip wear - that very rarely happens for me! I wasn't so sure this would be a great combo but I actually loved it together.

The formula was great on both of these, no issues to report. One coat of Poshe to finish it off. I'll say it again - I LOVE this mani.

Zoya Caitlin and Butter London No More Waity, Katie Layering Combo!

Happy Friday everyone! I have a super pretty layering combo for you tonight! I received Butter London No More Waity, Katie as part of a lovely Christmas gift from my friend Rhonni (The Polish Ninja). I love it and have worn it before but realized that I never posted it here. Shame on me. LOL

Zoya Caitlin makes the perfect base for NMWK. They are very similar in color and I only needed one coat of NMWK on top. I have heard horror stories about application issues with NMWK but I had no issues with mine. Perhaps they have improved the formula? Or maybe I was just lucky.

First up is Zoya Caitlin, this is 2 coats with no top coat. Perfect formula.

Now for the lovely combo. Unfortunately my camera, as always, hates glitter. These pics do not do this polish justice. This is one coat of NMWK over Caitlin, no top coat.

I wish I had done this combo justice, it is so much prettier in person. Have you layered NMWK over anything?

Butter London polishes retail for $14 and can be purchased at butterlondon.com and other retail stores and online retailers. Butterlondon.com is currently having a 30% off sale that is running through 6/30, so you need to hurry!

butter LONDON Wallis - Swatches and Review

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great beginning to your week! I have quite the pick-me-up today if your week didn't start off as you would like. :)

butter LONDON Wallis has been on my wishlist ever since it was released and I FINALLY managed to snatch it up last week! I am so glad I did, it is simply stunning. It is definitely in my top 10 favorites of all-time. I received several compliments while wearing this; that doesn't usually happen to me so I was super happy about that!

The formula of Wallis is AMAZING- just like butter. All of these photos are without clean-up, it went on that easily. This color is hard to describe. It is a goldish, bronzey, green color. I know, very descriptive. Haha The pics are color accurate, how would YOU describe it?

I love the butter LONDON bottles, they store very well and the large cap lifts off to reveal a much easier to use round cap. The brush is cut well and is not too narrow or too wide. This is 2 coats with top coat.

What do you think of Wallis? Do you have it, will you be purchasing it?

butter LONDON retails for $14 and can be purchased at butterlondon.com as well as Ulta and ulta.com.

butter LONDON Tart With A Heart - Swatches and Reviews

I am very excited about the polish I have for you today! I purchased this back in December, can you BELIEVE it's been in my untrieds for THREE months?! Shame on me.

Tart With A Heart (TWAH) is a lovely fine glitter topper. It is a nice change from the mega-glitterbombs but adds lovely shimmer. This is kind of a hard color to describe. The description on butter LONDON's website is, "Who says pink glitter can’t be girly AND sexy?! This pale pink parade of glitter carries a dash of grey to tone down the sugar and ramp up the spice."  Pink is not how I would describe this color, I think of it more as a gold with multiple color, irridescent glitters mixed in. But no matter what you call it, it is gorgeous.  I am actually wearing it on my toes as we speak over Color Club Wild At Heart, amazing combo.

I chose to put it over China Glaze Instant Chemistry, which is from their Magnetix collection (I will have a post on it soon). I absolutely loved this color and thought they would make a good combo. This is just ONE coat of TWAH and I only needed a regular top coat, no Gelous.

What do you think of TWAH? It's sexy and girly at the same time. I think it is great for Spring.

butter LONDON retails for $14 and can be purchased at butterlondon.com. It can also be purchased at Ulta and Ulta.com .

Butter London Knackered Dupe???

Hello again!!! I mentioned in my post on Butter London Knackered earlier today that I thought I might be able to layer two of my current polishes and create a dupe. Well, I am happy to announce that it is NOT a dupe!!! I am totally justified in owning both. :-)

The two polishes I had in mind were OPI Not Like The Movies and China Glaze Fairy Dust. In the first pic you can see 3 coats of NLTM on its own (it is more opaque than Knackered) and you can clearly see that they are not dupes. I also swatched 2 fingers over Zoya Savita, you can see that at the end of the post.

4 coats Butter London Knackered on the left, 3 coats of OPI NLTM with 1 coat ChG Fairy Dust on the right

For the pics below I put 2 coats of NLTM and 1 coat of Fairy Dust on my index and ring fingers, BL Knackered on my middle finger and pinky. All are over 2 coats of Savita.

Well there you have it. I didn't bother swatching it over black since they weren't as close as I thought. Does it make you happy or sad that I didn't find a dupe?

Butter London Knackered EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!!

Hello everyone!!! Today I have for you a polish from Butter London's new collection for Spring. This is a Knackered EXTRAVAGANZA!!! I have swatched Knackered by itself, over black and over dark purple (Zoya Savita). I thought knackered meant tired but I wasn't sure so I asked some of my fellow polish addict friends who live in England and they confirmed that is in fact what it means (along with a few other meanings). I am really "knackered" after so many color changes and pics. LOL

Knackered is really amazing in the bottle, it is a multi-chrome with scattered holo glitter. This shifts from purple to blue to silver and sometimes even green. I expected this to be sheer because most multi-chromes are but I tried it out on its own first anyways. I was right, super sheer, after 4 coats I still had VNL. The next three pics are FOUR coats of Knackered.

I then decided to put it over black, most duo- and multi-chromes look best over a dark color. I took inside pics and sun pics. My index finger and middle finger have 3 coats of Knackered over OPI Black Onyx and my ring finger and pinky have 2 coats of Knackered.

Please excuse the chip on my ring finger and the messy index finger. LOL These were not visible to the naked eye and I had already taken this combo off when I was editing the pics.

I thought I was done after that but then my friend Jacki from Adventures in Acetone said she wanted to see it swatched over purple so I decided I might as well add that one in too. LOL I put it over Zoya Savita (I haven't posted on this yet, post coming soon, but in the meantime I added a pic below of Savita so you know what she looks like). It definitely makes it more purple but you can see the color shift in the shade really well. I'm glad I listened to Jacki, this is my favorite combo! (Oh, and I am IN LOVE with Savita, that post coming later).

What do you think of Knackered? I love it BUT I think I can create a dupe out of two polishes I already own. I will have a comparison post up later today. Which two polishes do you think I am talking about? Does it remind you of anything?

Butter London polishes retail for $14 and can be purchased at Ulta, Ulta.com and butterlondon.com
