Paint Box Polish: Dragons Are a Girl's Best Friend Collection - Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Good evening! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a good Monday (or as good as a Monday can be). Today I have a brand new bevy of beauties from Paint Box Polish to show you! This collection launched on Black Friday and are available now!

The Dragons Are a Girl's Best Friend Collection is made up of four polishes, all with different finishes, inspired by some of our favorite dragons!

Post continued after the jump!

This is a very diverse collection in both color and finish and there's something for everyone! Let's get right to the swatches!

-------------------------------------------------

A Dragon is Not a Slave is inspired by Rhaegal from Game of Thrones.

This is one of my favorites of this collection! It is a bright green holographic sparkle-fest. It is impossible to capture how pretty it is in pictures. I did post a video of it on Instagram a few days ago, but even that doesn't show how pretty it is in person. The jelly base allows all of the sparkle to shine through. Absolutely no issues with formula or application. I am showing two coats and one coat of top coat (it is not a hungry glitter).

All the Powers of Hell is inspired by Maleficient from Sleeping Beauty!

The colors in this one really take me back to the animated version of Maleficient. It's a blue-based purple crelly with black triangles and neon green and yellow squares and hexes. Just perfect! The formula was smooth and easy, no issues at all. I used 3 thin coats and one coat of top coat.

I Am Fire is inspired by Smaug from The Hobbit Trilogy.

It is a metallic taupe with copper and teal shimmery micro-flakes that sing in the sun! This color is so versatile and I think it will look awesome on a multitude of skin tones.  The formula on this one was a bit thick but the maker has since thinned it out for the new batch. Even as it was it wasn't hard to work with. I used two coats and no top coat for the photos. (Note: This one dries with a very slight texture but if you prefer it smooth, one coat of top coat smooths it right out.)

I Like Children is inspired by Falkor from The Neverending Story.

This one is the surprise from me from this collection because it ended up being my very favorite! If you've been with me very long you know I tend to not like white polishes on me because they just don't usually look great with my skin tone. I also usually don't like white crellies because the formulas tend to not be great. Neither of those things is true with this one! It is a white crelly base with dark and light brown micro-glitters and a sprinkling of rainbow, silver and gold flakies. The formula was fabulous and I will definitely be using this one a lot! I used two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos.

What do you think? Will you be grabbing any? I really love how diverse this collection is! In addition to these polishes, you can also find 3 new winter scents for the cuticle oil - Frozen, Alpine Frost and Christmas Memories. I really love Paint Box Polish's cuticle oil. You can find my review on it here.

This collection, along with other beauties, can be found in Paint Box Polish's Big Cartel Store and retail for $9 each.  There is also a coupon code for my readers that is good for 20% off and never expires! The code is ADDICTED.
