Tree of Love

Nothing to Disclose

Good evening! Today's post is going to be a little mushy and more personal than most. Today's theme for the 31 Day Challenge is "inspired by artwork." I decided to dedicate this post to my baby cousin because she got married today! (Also, you might notice a drastic change in my nail length from yesterday's post. I was cleaning like a madwoman today and my nails didn't appreciate it at all.)

I wasn't able to be at the wedding but I was there in spirit. I ran across this lovely painting on Etsy and thought it would be great to try to recreate it, especially since their wedding was outside under some beautiful trees.

I decided to change the color scheme to coordinate with the colors of the wedding.  It didn't turn out exactly as I had pictured but I still like it. I think I could have done a better job with more room to work with, but I can't change that! Haha I used Zoya Mira and Rocky along with butter LONDON Matte Top Coat.

Shaina and Lane, I hope you have an amazing life together! Love you both! ♥

Thanks for reading and happy polishing! ♥

Marbled Madness

Nothing to Disclose

Happy Hump Day!  It's Day 3 of the 31 Day Challenge and today's prompt is "yellow." I tried a new-to-me technique and I love the way it turned out!

31 Day Challenge Day Twelve - Stripes!

Howdy everyone! Today is Day 12 of the 31 Day Challenge - stripes. I wasn't so sure about this one and I am not 100% happy with the outcome but I love the colors and how they play together.

For 3 of my nails I went with the design I saw on Chalkboard Nails for her "Yellow Day" mani. I then did random "jagged" stripes for my accent nail. All nails were done using tape. I used Zoya Kendal as my base, Zoya Mira as my middle color and Cult Nails Vicious on my tips. All were topped with one coat of Poshe.

Zoya Mira - Swatches and Review

This is going to be a pretty quick post because the only thing that needs to be said about Zoya Mira is that she is pure purple perfection. Mira is a cool-toned purple that is perfectly opaque in 2 coats. Perfectly creamy and smooth. No applications issues. Dries shiny - these pics are without top coat. What more could you ask for?

My camera, as always, had a hard time capturing the true shade of purple. I got the pics as close as I possibly could and took them in various lighting situations so you can see how Mira can look lighter or darker depending on where you are. The LAST pic (with the label) is the closest to the true color and how it looked on me most of the time.

Zoya is one of my favorite brands. They are 5-free and Cruelty-Free and they have promos and sales to show how much they appreciate their customers very often. Plus their customer service ROCKS!

Zoya can be purchased at zoya.com and at select Ulta locations. Zoya also has an amazing program called "Share the Love" that you can find out more about on their website. My Share the Love link can be found here, if you would like to use it.
