Glitter Gal Citrine - Swatches and Review

Hello lovelies!  I hope your week is going well so far!

Tonight I have Glitter Gal Citrine to show you. Citrine is a yellow/gold linear holo. I wasn't so sure how this would look with my skin since yellow and gold tend to look horrible on me. This one is actually pretty wearable though! This one is more sheer than other Glitter Gals that I own so it also works really well as a layering polish. I have several different combos to show you! The formula was great and dried pretty quickly.

First up is how I wore it for a full mani - one coat of Citrine over China Glaze Westside Warrior...

Now for some other combos - as well as 4 coats alone on my ring finger...

Sea Lore Beluga Blizzard - Swatches and Review

Hello everyone! Today was the first time I have actually felt a TINY bit of a chill this year so I think it's a perfect time to break out the winter polishes! This one reminds me of a snowstorm (not that I will be getting any snow here in the Arizona desert! LOL) - so gorgeous!

Beluga Blizzard is described as, "pearl white iridescent shimmering base with various shades of snow white glitter." I think that description is spot on! I attempted to capture some of the gorgeous iridescent shimmer in the base but this one really needs to be seen in person to appreciate how beautiful it is!

It could be worn on its own with an estimated 3-4 coats but I decided to layer it over a contrasting color. (You can see it layered over white with some adorable nail art at Adventures in Acetone!) I used one coat on all nails except my ring finger where I used two coats over a base of Dandy Nails Cashmere Night

The formula was very nice, the glitter spread evenly and smoothly. No issues at all to report. I used one coat of Poshe but I would recommend using Gelous or an  extra coat of top coat to make it perfectly smooth.

All of Sea Lore polishes are hand mixed, 3-free and cruelty-free and only use stainless steel balls. All of the glitters are tested a minimum of 2 months by themselves in base to ensure that all glitters are non bleeding and non curling. Jamie says, "We are a relatively new company, but have been in the works for quite a while. I took my time designing each and every portion of the Sea Lore line, from gift wrapping each order to the labels on each bottle, I just wanted to show each and every customer how much they mean to me! As a thank you to my customers, I am offering a free ring with every $20 purchase with your choice of Sea Lore color."

Sea Lore polishes retail for $5.50 for 7.5 ml and $10 for 15 ml bottles. Make sure to check out Sea Lore's website and store (where she is currently fully stocked). Also follow her on Facebook and Twitter. She hosts sales very often to show her customers how much she appreciates them so I suggest you follow so you don't miss out!

Dandy Nails Cashmere Night - Swatches and Review

Hello lovelies!

Tonight I have Dandy Nails Cashmere Night. Cashmere Night is a purple matte polish with blue micro-flakes and pink shimmer. The formula on this is amazing - it's not hard to apply like some mattes. It dries quickly but not so quickly that you're rushing to apply it. I also got AMAZING wear from this. I wore it matte (no top coat) for nearly two days and had hardly any tip wear.

Cashmere Night is definitely a winner!!

And then I wanted to see what it looks like with top coat and the result is gorgeous! I love it both ways!

AquaDaisy Shazaam - Swatches and Review

Happy Hump Day! I have a doozy of a polish for you tonight!

AquaDaisy Shazaam is one of the most amazing purples I have ever worn. The formula couldn't be better - what you see in my photos is ONE FREAKING COAT! I wore it just like this, one coat and no top coat, for a day and a half and had very little tip wear! I really can't say enough about how awesome this is - purple holo amazingness.

Maya Cosmetics No Big Deal - Swatches and Review

Happy Tuesday (or Wednesday for some of you)! I have another lovely Maya Cosmetics polish for you tonight!

Maya Cosmetics No Big Deal is described as follows by Kat, creator of Maya Cosmetics, "Green-leaning charcoal gray base with blue and green/gold/blue color-shifting micro flakes." This polish is so stunning in person - it shifts all the colors just as described and the micro-flakes are to die for! The formula was great - just as I have had with all of my other Maya polishes. I used 2 coats and it was smooth to the touch (and dries shiny!) but I did top it off with one coat of Poshe.

I had a hard time capturing just how amazing this polish is with my camera. (Have I mentioned that my camera hates me? Yeah, I thought I had. LOL) Anyway, to see more pics (ones that show the flakies!) visit Pointless Cafe's post here. Now, on to the pics!

Maya Cosmetics Smolder - Swatches and Review

Hello lovelies!

I have another Maya Cosmetics polish to show you tonight - I am really loving this brand! Kat, the creator of Maya Cosmetics, thoroughly tests her polishes and she has wonderful customer service. I haven't had any issues with the formula on any of her polishes.

Smolder is described by Kat as, "Blackened plummy brown with pink/red/bronze shimmer." I think that is a perfect description and this polish certainly does smoulder! This polish has many moods and I tried to capture them all in my photos.

This polish is a little on the thin side and it is best to make sure to let the first coat dry before putting on the second. Kat told me this when she shipped my polish but I forgot when I was applying it so I didn't let the first coat completely dry and, as a result, did get some cuticle drag. I let that dry and added a third coat and it completely evened it out. BUT, if you let the first coat dry then this polish should only need two coats to be even and opaque. It was very smooth to the touch after I finished, no special top coat needed - I topped it with one coat of Poshe.
