Purple for World Lupus Awareness Day with Sea Lore Springing Seahorse ♥

Press Sample

May 10th is World Lupus Awareness Day so some fellow bloggers and myself have joined together to wear purple for Lupus Awareness. Lupus is an incurable autoimmune disease that affects 1.5 million Americans. 9/10 are women. Lupus affects 5 million people world wide.

My friend Michelle has lupus and recently had a rough time (that's putting it mildly) and had to stay in the hospital for several days. In 4 days she suffered 27 seizures. Michelle says, "A common misconception is that most people with lupus aren't sick because they don't look sick they aren't sick. This misconseption goes for all invisible illnesses but in my experience, I was close to death twice now with lupus and even my family couldn't believe it because "I didn't look sick enough" for them." For more of Michelle's story and answers about lupus, click here.

For my purple I chose Sea Lore Springing Seahorse. Springing Seahorse is described by Jamie as, "A sparkling purple iridescent base with various shades of purple glitters." I LOVE this polish so much. It has a ton of depth and looks good ever so many different colors that I have tried it over. For this post I am showing it over two different bases - butter LONDON Brummie and a plain black creme (where I used it as a gradient with a full accent nail). Application was perfect with no issues at all. I used one coat of Springing Seahorse and one coat of topcoat.

Sea Lore Dancing Discus from the Spring Seas Collection ♥

Press Sample

Happy Thursday! I, for one, am really glad this day is over. It's been one of "those days" and I am going to finish it on a happy note - with some sparkle! I have another polish from Sea Lore's Spring Seas Collection to show you tonight!

Dancing Discus is described by Jamie as, "A sheer soft peach with a shifting blue violet glow. She has various sizes of iridescent hexes, blue green squares and tiny golden glitters."  I love this one so much! It's subtle but still so striking. I can definitely see this being acceptable in an office - and it will cheer you up just by moving your fingers around! I used one coat over a neutral creme (Nails Inc. Fulham Palace Road) and one coat of topcoat to finish it.

*Any bubbles are from my topcoat, not the polish.

Sea Lore Leaping Lyretail from the Spring Seas Collection ♥

Press Sample

It's FINALLY Friday!!! I have another super fun and gorgeous Sea Lore polish to show you today!

Leaping Lyretail is described by Jamie as, "A hot pink jelly with white squares, yellow and pink hexes and hot pink circle glitter!" I love this one - it is so fun! I had no problems with formula or application. I used 4 coats alone on my ring finger and one coat over Nails Inc Eccleston Mews on all other fingers.  One coat of Poshe on all fingers. Please excuse any bubbles you may see - the heat is messing with my topcoat big time and I'm having a lot of bubbling. It is in the topcoat only, not the polish itself.

Sea Lore Jumping Jellyfish from the Spring Seas Collection ♥

Press Sample

Happy Hump Day! I have a gorgeous glowy and squishy polish for you today!

Sea Lore recently launched her Spring Seas Collection and I will have all of them to show you over the next few days. We are going to start with the blue beauty that is Jumping Jellyfish. Every time I read that name I hear Sebastian from The Little Mermaid saying it in my head. I hope I'm not alone in that! Haha!

Jumping Jellyfish is described by Jamie, the amazing lady behind Sea Lore, as "A cerulean blue jelly with tiny light blue glitters and blue circle glitter." I love this one and had no issues with application. The glitters all came out easily and spread nicely. I used 4 coats alone on my ring finger and 2 coats over Nails Inc. Baker Street on all other fingers - all topped with one coat of Poshe. I couldn't stop staring at my nails! LOVE! (Excuse the nubs - I had two bad breaks and had to chop them. *sad panda*)

What do you think of this one?! I love the circle glitters and how this polish glows! I think I found my next pedi color! I can't wait to show you the rest of the collection!
