Misa Wander Lust Collection ♥

Hello lovely readers! I have a really beautiful collection for you today!

Misa has really been putting out some fabulous new colors lately! The Wander Lust Collection was for Fall of 2012 but I think all of the colors really work well for Spring too! (If you missed my post on Misa's High Society Collection, you can find it here.)

---------------------------------------

Breakaway is described as a "bold plum" but it is so much more than that. In the shade, Breakaway looks like a medium-to-deep purple but in the sun this amazing pink shimmer comes out and really makes this polish pop. This one had a great formula - I used 2 coats and no top coat.

Epiphany is described as a "soft buttercup yellow" and that is pretty spot on. Depending on the light it can look yellow or gold and the shimmer in this on is so pretty. This one was a little on the thin side and I used 3 thin coats for opacity.

Frozen in Time is described as an "iridescent periwinkle" and that's pretty perfect. I love periwinkle and I love how this one has the pink shimmer. The shimmer is not quite as prevalent as in Breakaway but it's definitely there. The formula on this one was a tad thin but not problematic. I used 2 coats and no top coat.

Live Without Knowing is described as a "dusky-rose greige" and I think that's pretty accurate. I really love this one. It is more taupe than grey and has a a gorgeous golden shimmer (check out the shade pics!) that makes this one special. This one was a tad on the thin side and I used a 3rd coat to even everything up. No top coat for the photos.

Lost to the World is described as a "tawny mauve" - that's close but it definitely leans more to brown on my skin than mauve. This one has a very slight golden shimmer but it's more hidden that the shimmer in the other polishes in this collection. This one was also on the thin side and required 3 coats. No top coat in the photos.

Taking Chances is described as a "combination of luscious peach and honeydew" and that is a perfect description. This one is a standout for me. As much as I love purple and taupe (and love those shades in this collection), this polish is really so pretty and perfect. This one had a fantastic formula and I only used 2 coats. No top coat.

Misa High Society Collection for Winter of 2012

Hello lovelies! I hope you are having a wonderful week! It's cold and cloudy here today and actually feels like winter! To celebrate (because here in the Arizona desert cold weather is something to celebrate) I have the winter 2012 collection from Misa to show you - The High Society Collection.

Misa High Society Collection

This collection consists of three cremes and three shimmers and they are all gorgeous! I'm going to start with my personal favorite half of the collection, the cremes.

It Girl is a dark, vampy plum color. It dries slightly darker on the nail than it appears in the bottle. It looked pretty dark on me unless I was in bright light but a lot of vampy colors look black on me because my skin is so pale. The formula was somewhat thin but not problematic. I used two coats and no top coat.

Tailored Taupe is a gorgeous milk chocolate brown - I felt like I had a Hershey candy bar on my fingernails! This one had the most problematic formula out of all six. I only needed two coats for opacity but the formula was extremely thin. As long as you don't put too much on your brush and you wait for the first coat to dry before applying the second coat you will be fine. The pics show two coats and no top coat.

Trust Fund is probably my favorite of the collection and has an AMAZING formula! Trust Fund is a green-ish grey (or is it a grey-ish green? hehehe) creme that was nearly a one-coater. This polish really is perfect, no issues at all. This is two coats and no top coat.

Now let's look at the shimmers in this collection. These are all amazingly gorgeous.

Bourbon on the Rocks is a gorgeous chestnut brown that shifts to red in certain lighting and the shimmer is like whoa! I had no issues with the formula and I only needed two coats for full opacity. No top coat in the photos. This color is so comfy and cozy!

Well-Heeled Grey is the light color of this collection and my favorite out of the shimmers. This one shifts from grey to taupe depending on the light and has a gorgeous light purple shimmer. I think the tone of this color will look great with most skin tones. This one was a little on the thin side but not problematic. I used two coats and no top coat.

Uptown Glamour is a deep vampy purple with red shimmer. This color is so rich and sexy - I love it! This one had excellent application and I only needed two coats for opacity. It is so much prettier in person, my camera had trouble capturing the shimmer.
