Cover Band is a brand that "covers" popular polishes that may be discontinued or hard to find, etc. They are not meant to be DUPES of the original polish, they are meant to pay tribute. Just as cover bands who may cover songs of classic artists, they will never be the same but they can be loved for what they are nevertheless.
CaNDy Teal Twinkle pays tribute to the much sought-after CND Teal Sparkle from their Effects line. I absolutely love this one! I layered one coat over a plain black creme and a plain aqua/teal creme (Essence Bella) and both turned out amazing! This would honestly look good over SO many colors. No top coat for the photos.

ReplyDeleteI am the lucky owner of the CND duo set of the much coveted teal effect. It is a stunner...this is close in shade but the CND effect is more of a finer sparkle glimmer topper (hard to describe). I am nuts over toppers. I am not a big glitter fan due to grit and also removal plus I find I get really tired of the glitter look fast on the nail which is a drag when it's so hard to get off and it does make your mani last 2x as long at least - sad when I want a polish change in less than 24 hrs after getting the glitter on - so toppers are for me - they are classy too and not as in your face like glitters. I need to look at the Ninja catalog - was not aware they had come out with a semi dup for CND teal sparkle effects.
