Dior Jamaican Pepper - Swatch and Review (and an amazingly sweet nail mail surprise!)

Happy Saturday everyone! I had quite the surprise this morning, a nail mail package from my dear friend Sheila at Pointless Cafe. I am shocked and I can't thank her enough. LOL

Of course after receiving this I just had to get one of my new pretties on my nails ASAP. And what better to start with than the AMAZING Dior Jamaican Pepper!? I had been wanting this one for awhile but hadn't been able to get it, it was so sweet of her to think of me.

The formula on Jamaican Pepper was nothing short of perfection. And it has all of the normal Dior goodness - the amazing brush...the secret shimmer...*sigh* I did top it with the Dior Top Coat, which was also amazing. I did wait quite awhile before applying it because I didn't want to turn the top coat pink. Been there, done that.

It was partly cloudy today (yay!) so I had an interesting time taking pictures. I'm sure my neighbors think I am nuts by now, but that's nothing new. LOL So some of these are sun pics and some are "shade" pics.

Nail Mail!

I haven't done a nail mail post in quite awhile and I am sure I am probably forgetting packages that I received but I thought I would show you some of my most recent (and favorite) packages!

First up is my Dandy Nails order that I received today. I am SO excited for these and will have them on my nails just as soon as I possibly can. The green one, Look Around, is BRAND NEW and it is stunning.

 Next up is a package from my friend Sheila at Pointless Cafe. I can't believe she had an extra Catherine Arley 803, I have been wanting this one for quite some time! And I love the other two as well. Thank you so much Sheila! ♥

Next up is a swap I did with my friend Marnie (from Ambiance Shop). I have a very long Zoya wishlist and she said she would love some OPI's that I have. I don't use those much anymore since I have gone Cruelty-Free and was happy to swap some with her! She was only supposed to send the three Zoya's but she included some extras, what a naughty girl. LOL Thank you so much Marnie! ♥

Nail Mail!

Is there any better kind of mail? OF COURSE NOT! At least not if you are a polish addict. I have received some lovely polishes the last couple of days.

First up is an amazing swap package from my friend Sheila at Pointless Cafe, she included some extra surprise goodies (because she is awesome like that :-)) that I love! Thank you SO MUCH Sheila! ♥

 First are my surprise polishes. The first is a mossy green with holo bits scattered throughout (I couldn't wait to put this on, I am wearing it now and have been for 2 days) and the other is a SpectraFlair topcoat! She names these #hashtag for me because I use A LOT of hashtags (my friends usually call me Hash or Hashley LOL). I LOVE my surprise frankens!

I finally got my hands on two of my long-time lemmings from a England! Llarowe got these back in stock and I was there to swoop them up ASAP! LOL I still want several other a England polishes, I will get them eventually! Thanks to Leah Ann for the SUPER FAST service and amazing packaging!! I highly recommend her shop, customer service at its best.

And lastly, I went on a spending spree at Walgreens yesterday. LOL Luckily all of these polishes are only $1.99. I blame my friend's Sheila (at Pointless Cafe)and Jen (at Jen's Wonderland) for these, I had seen them on their blogs and I loved them so much I had to run out and get them.

MAC Bad Fairy from a Polish Fairy!

♥ This is going to be a little deeper than my other posts, I hope you will read and enjoy. ♥ 

I received a surprise package Monday night (yes, I am way late on posting this) and when I opened it I literally cried. I cried from joy, shock and amazement but most of all I cried because I was shocked at the thoughtfulness and care from someone I have only known a few short months and have never met in person. Inside the package were two polishes that I had been wanting, Zoya Dree and my all-time biggest lemming, MAC Bad Fairy.   

I was chatting with a few of my polish friends a couple of weeks ago about, what else, polish and mentioned that Bad Fairy was the polish I wanted more than any other and from that conversation my friend Sheila from Pointless Cafe decided to be sneaky and send it to me. How sweet is that? I am so touched by this and am so grateful for her friendship. It really shows you there are still amazing people out there, although they are hard to find sometimes!

Blogging has really changed my life. That may sound lame but it's true. I have met many women that I consider TRUE friends, they are hard to come by. Who would have thought that my life-long polish addiction would lead to knowing such amazing people? I didn't. As much as I love the polish, I cherish the friendships even more. 

Now let's get to the pics, shall we? This is my "nail mail" post, I will have a mani post with Bad Fairy up tonight!

Haul Post....Part Deux!

As promised, here is part 2 of my haul post! But first, I little jabbering (of course LOL). 

My favorite thing about blogging is the friends I have made along the way. I have grown so close to some of them that they feel like sisters, right down to finishing each other's sentences. I feel so blessed that my life-long nail polish obsession has led me to so many wonderful women, for so many years I thought I was alone in this obsession. Boy, was I wrong! LOL

Anyways, one of these women is my lovely friend Sheila from Pointless Cafe (if you are not following her blog you must do so, it is amazing), I have only known her for maybe 3 months but I feel like I have known her forever. She recently decided to purge some of her collection and I was happy to take some off of her hands. ;-) This squashed MANY long-time lemmings for me! Thank you SO MUCH Sheila! Let's see the goodies, shall we?

Haul Post....Part 1

Good morning everyone! It has been a very long time since I have done a haul post, I decided to split this one into two posts. I already had my pics ready for this one before I got my last package in the mail so I thought this would be easier. :-)

First up are two Savvy polishes I got off the clearance table at Sally's for $1.99 each and 1/2 of my Zoya Valentine's Day promotion. (I still haven't received my free red, there was an issue with my order but it has since been resolved.)

 Next up are 2 CVS deals, they had these two neons on sale for $1.79 each last week and I got the very last Sinful Colors Green Ocean at my Walgreens.

 The next one is very special!! This is MY VERY FIRST  China Glaze OMG polish. I was convinced I didn't need these with all the great holos that are on the market now but after seeing this one I want the rest! LOL My friend Ashley from Smashley Sparkles found this dusty hunting and was nice enough to offer it to me! Thanks Ashley!!!

I will admit I used to be a hater of this brand (I have several that I bought a few years ago and am not crazy about the formula) but have had several of my polish friends tell me that they have really improved in recent years.
