NOTD: Ozotic 621

HAPPY FRIDAY! Yes, I yelled that because I am so happy that this week is finally over! I just have a quick nail of the day post to show you today. I received this as a gift from my bestie a couple years ago and it's one of my favorite polishes - I can't believe I've never posted it before!

Guest Post Saturday! Smashley Sparkles with an amazing green water marble!

It's Guest Post Saturday again!! I have quite the treat for you today! Ashley from Smashley Sparkles is one of the best at water marbling that I have ever seen. She does one every Wednesday on her blog and I am always in awe at how good she is. I was so happy when she agreed to do one for this guest post, and even happier when she made it all green!! *grin* I highly recommend you check out and follow her if you don't already, you will not be disappointed!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello fellow Polish Addicts!  I am so happy to bring you this very special guest post today.  When Ashley asked me if I would be interested in doing one of these, I said "HECK YES!"  No one has asked me to guest post for them before, and I'm excited for my first one to be on a good friend's blog.

I didn't have to think very hard to come up with my mani for this post... I know that Ashley is an avid green polish lover (as do most people who know her, I think!) and she also often tells me how much she loves the water marbles that I do.  So I almost immediately decided to do an all green water marble!  This was my first monochromatic water marble, and I am really happy with how it turned out.

It took me a few tries to find greens that were complementary with each other and also spread in the water.  I ended up using 4 different polishes.  I prepped my nails with base coat and then one coat of China Glaze Paper Chasing.  I built my bulls-eye withOPI Mermaid's TearsChina Glaze Paper ChasingOzotic 507, and China Glaze Glittering Garland.

I did a sort of stripey pattern, following the method show in Colette's (My Simple Little Pleasures) Bumble Bee tutorial.

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and thank you so much to my dear friend Ashley for inviting me to be here!

My Birthday Mani and My First Stamping Experience!!

Hello lovelies! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! I want to say Happy Veteran's Day to all of you and thank any of you that have ever served our country, or had a family member who served.

For today's mani I wanted something special, in addition to it being my birthday, it is also my one-month blog anniversary! Thank you all for following along in my nail adventures! I never dreamed I would 165 followers in a month, so thank you all so much. It really means a lot to me.

I've had an idea in my mind for weeks that I knew I wanted to try but didn't know how to pull it off. I didn't have stamping plates and we all know I fail at freehand. Well, surprise - when I received my plates yesterday there was an image that was pretty much exactly what I had pictured! Not exact but close enough. The base color I really wanted to use for this was too dark, the black didn't show up. But, I have another idea for it that I may try tonight so I'm not going to tell you what the color is. ;)

So for this design I started out with a base of NOX Twilight Red Velvet (I would normally do a post on this color on its own first but I was so excited to get the design up that I decided I would post the swatches of Red Velvet later). This is my favorite red creme, it's kind of somewhere in between a creme and a jelly....is that a crelly? LOL Anyway, it is SUPER SHINY like a jelly but a little more opaque. I used 2 coats since I knew I was stamping over it but when I wear it alone I usually wear 3 coats so there is no VNL.  I then used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black Out, Ozotic 531 and Ozotic 532.

I love roses, they are my favorite flower. I have a bouquet of fake roses in my bedroom that are black and dark burgundy with silver and holographic glitter on the tips. I wanted to recreate this look on my nails. Like I said before, my base was too dark and that's why I changed to the bright red. I then stamped with Bundle Monster plate #BM14 with Black Out all over each nail. I was trying to make it look like you were looking at a bundle of roses from the top. After that I used my small dotting tool and went around various petals with the two Ozotic polishes. It's not perfect but I am very happy with it. I think it is pretty darn good for my first try at stamping. I used Color Club top coat to finish it off.

NOX Twilight Red Velvet, Sally Hansen Black Out, Ozotic 531, Ozotic 532, Color Club Top Coat

I hope you all enjoyed this mani!

The NOX Twilight polishes with the amazing Cullen Crests can be purchased at Twilight Beauty. They have 12 polishes, I have 6 and want the other 6! Besides having the lovely bottles the colors are very pretty and excellent quality. I will review Red Velvet on its own later today or sometime over the weekend.

Have a fabulous day!

Ozotic 532 Over Wet 'N Wild Night Prowl

Happy Friday lovelies! I have an amazing polish to show you today! I am in love with Ozotic 532 - .maybe even more than 531. I can't decide, I love them both! This polish is from the mish-mash line which means it is mulit-chrome AND holographic! Sooo gorgeous!

This polish shifts so many different colors. I tried to capture them all but I'm sure I probably didn't!   I spotted light purple, light blue, teal, dark purple, dark blue, grey, pink and even some light gold! And don't forget the holo - there is so much going on and it is absolutely amazing!

We had a very rare cloudy day today that turned into a windy day that turned into a day-long dust storm. How fun. I love clouds and will never turn them away but it also meant no sun pics for this amazing polish. While I didn't get sun pics, this polish is so gorgeous that the pics are still drool-worthy!

The first 2 pics are outside under the clouds - they don't show the holo very well but the color-change shows up amazingly well! In these pics are 2 coats of 532 over 2 coats of Wet 'n Wild Night Prowl, all topped of with 1 coat of Orly Sec 'N Dry.

With all those colors it's hard to believe it's only one polish!

Ozotic 531 Over Black!

Hello everyone! The polish I have for you today is simply amazing! It is brand new from Ozotic and it is one of their new mish-mash polishes. The mish -mash line from Ozotic is both multi-chrome and holographic! They are so amazingly gorgeous!

One thing you need to know about multi-chromes (or duo-chromes) is that you have to layer them over a dark color to bring out their amazing color-shifting abilities. Today I have layered this over a black creme, I will be doing another post tomorrow on 531 over a different color so you can see how it changes depending on your base color.

This polish shifts from an amber color to a reddish purple...I could see green in sometimes but I couldn't seem to capture that in the pics. In the pics are 2 coats of Ozotic 531 over 1 opaque coat of Sally Hansen Black Out. I put Orly Sec 'N Dry over my index and ring fingers and left my middle and pinky fingers without a top coat so you can see that top coat does not dull the holo in this polish.
I'm sorry this looks a little sloppy....I didn't notice it until I was editing the pics and since it's almost bedtime for me, I could not take new ones.

This is my favorite picture of this polish...you have the blurred holo on the index finger but you can see two different colors on my other fingers!
