Fall Into Fashion - Day 2 of a Halloween Nail Art Challenge!

Day 2 of the Halloween Nail Art Challenge is "sugar rush." We are supposed to do a mani inspired by our favorite candy. I will admit it, I LOVE candy. I have several different kinds that I love but a few months ago I tried my first Heath Bar and it was love at first bite. So here is my Heath Bar-inspired mani!

I took the easy way out and only did the "H" because I didn't have the time to attempt the complete logo - plus that seemed too hard. Hahaha

I used Milani Dark Chocolate, Zoya Arizona and Milani Signature Gold.

31 Day Challenge Day 25 - Inspired By Fashion

I had several different ideas in mind for today but none that I could successfully accomplish. LOL So I flew by the seat of my pants for this one and took inspiration from one of my favorite purses. Little tidbit about me - I love purses!

This purse is special because it was my first "nice purse" and was a gift from my mom several years ago for my birthday. I was tempted to just paint my nails a matching red and leave it at that but that seemed like cheating. I love the lining of this purse, it's a very pretty pattern, but I didn't think I could re-create it either.

So, I took inspiration from the logo and the snake that encircles it and did a "snake" around my accent nail. I am actually quite happy with it. It's simple but sometimes simple is just what you need. As much as I like intricate nail art, I think I am happiest with my nails when there is a simple creme on them.

I used Zoya Sooki and the gold is Milani Signature Gold.

31 Day Challenge Day Fifteen - Delicate Print!

Halfway through the challenge and we are up to delicate print nails! I acquired Dior Czarina Gold a few months back and it was still sitting in my untrieds (except for using it as a pedi) because I was waiting for some length on my nails before I wore it. I absolutely love it (and will be posting it on its own sometime soon) and can't wait to wear it more this Fall!

Delicate Print Manicure

I had been wearing CG for over a day on its own so there is some minor tip wear in the photos but I thought it would look great with some gold stamping. I absolutely love this combo. I used Milani Signature Gold and Bundle Monster plate BM12 for the stamping. (The design I used is small and not meant to cover the whole nail - I just kept repeating it over and over for the desired look.)

Milani Morning Coffee, Dark Coffee, Chocolate Sprinkles and Signature Gold - Swatches, Review and Stamping

This post has a lot of content and I am getting it up much later than I had planned so I am going to get right to it. :)

I wanted to put all of these gorgeous browns into one mani so I put them into a gradient. Unfortunately my gradient skills were lacking last night so I decided to add some stamping. I'm glad I did because I think the gold looks amazing over the browns. Plus I found another polish that is great for stamping! I will post some individual polish photos and then another pic of the final look.

First up is Morning Coffee. This color is amazing. I must apologize for my photos on this one. I was playing around with my lightbox and the photos didn't turn out very well. Unfortunately I didn't know this until about 30 minutes ago. LOL This is such a lovely creme, so creamy and smooth. Much like morning coffee. *wink* The application was amazing and it is shiny on its own. This is 2 coats and no top coat.

Up next is the other coffee-themed creme, Dark Coffee. Might as well put those together, right? This one is much darker, no cream and sugar in this one! Amazing application and as shiny as a jelly but with the opacity of a creme. This is 2 coats, no top coat. Please excuse the doggy hair in my nails, again I did not notice this until about 30 minutes ago.

Next we have Chocolate Sprinkles. I LOVE this one. It has a gold shimmer that makes it look like it is lit from within. Another 2-coater with amazing application but this one does have a top coat to help bring out the shimmer.

The last one I have for you tonight is the polish I used for stamping in my finished mani. My hands look blue in these pics, it was the only way I could make the color of the polish turn out correctly. Every other way was too brassy so please forgive the blue hands. This one is also a "wear test." I had this on for almost 24 hours without top coat for these pics. You can see it wore very well, especially for a foil. Two coats and no application issues.

And one last look at the finished product.

Milani polishes retail for $4-$6 and can be purchased at drugstores, grocery stores and online at MilaniCosmetics.com.
